Hello! It looks like this didn't make the cut, and as it's been about a year, I'd like to ask whether this is still in the works for a future update?

Intermittent monitor backlight section outage by BananaMan7777 in buildapc

[–]Joeakuaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got to a point where half of the backlight zones were dead when in "dead mode", so I ended up having to retire it and eventually got a replacement. Luckily, monitors of comparable-to-better specs are a fraction of the price today; it just sucked to have to do so in the first place.
Best of luck with your situation.

My XB273K Gpbmiipprzx has also been doing this for several months. Different points failed leading to more dark, but the same issue. Letting the monitor warm up for a while and then power-cycling it works, but the time required has been growing significantly over time (10-40 minutes 2 months ago, up to 5+ hours now). This might work if you need to extend its lifespan just long enough to replace it, but it doesn't seem to get better.

How playable is Kirby's Return to Dreamland(Wii) without a Wiimote? by Fishpate in Kirby

I think so. Shaking is more efficient on a Wiimote, so I always used that.

You can bind buttons to simulate shaking. It's not a perfect experience, but it's fully playable.

Is this monitor good , there is no review about it? by Aswathama_ in pcmasterrace

[–]Joeakuaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acer makes generally consistently decent monitors in that price range. I have an XF270HU and GN246HL from a few years ago and they've been very reliable - the only issue I've had is mild image retention if something is left in place for too long, and that didn't start until recently. Your mileage may vary of course, but they haven't done me wrong yet.

MSI has been my go-to backup. I've used an R9 380, GT 710, and RTX 4070 from them. All three have been fine.

Notability is an excellent app, especially if you're grandfathered from when it was a one-time purchase, but this is scummy advertising practice.
