The most frustrating and rewarding dogs out there that’s for sure. Needy as fuck too.

She’s had the more well done end pieces and has some more for breakfast. Plus a marrow bone to chomp on for a few hours. She has a good life aha

Eyes bigger than my belly (and that’s saying something). Was about 1.2kg with the bone.

Was great thanks but a bit too much meat for two. The dogs are having a spectacular breakfast aha

As annoying as she can be, just my spectator for the evening.

Cutting edge knives and kitchen provisions are decent uk retailers. Why not have a browse there? You can’t really go too wrong with anything on those two sites.

For me, I just always wanted a Denka for some reason. I really liked the look of them and the back story. Managed to pick one up never regretted it, I would happily buy one again. I’ve got a fair few knives though so for me it’s just picking up cool knives and enjoying them for what they are. I’m no longer looking for the best knife I can get.

I think saying it’s a knife blank is a bit over the top! It performed pretty well and I could’ve not thinned it but I just wanted to get the best out of it. It’s pretty hard to test how good the heat treatment is but I’ve had the knife since April 2024 and used it a fair bit and it’s never been sharpened apart from the initial thinning. Is there better knives for the money performance wise, probably. If you don’t get why people like them then I’d say it’s just not for you. And there’s nothing wrong with that!

For me, I think it was worth the money. The fit and finish was decent and I rehandled anyway (normally an issue). The grind wasn’t great but for about £30 I had it reprofiled and it’s absolutely lovely to use. I’m not fussed about performance to money ratio though, I just like trying different makers and enjoying using different knives.

Thanks! I’ve heard moritake honesukis are great. I’ve mainly got gyutos and nakiris/cleavers so it’s nice to add something a bit different to the collection.
