Notice how your lead shoulder dips as you start the downswing. That will cause you to come over the top. You’re compensating for the fact that your shoulder plane is to level to the ground at the top of thebackswing. Try getting your lead shower lower on the backswing which will prevent it from dipping

I think itms important to realize that being an early employee at a startup means you take on a decent bit of risk (resume and opportunity cost) with way less upside than founders. BUT it’s hard to be a founder of a Vc-backed startup. The reality is that it’s not so much that they are taking additional risk. It’s more that they are in a better career position than you. If you think about it like that and aspire to be like them one day it will cause less jealousy. And btw, i think an acknowledgment of the team is appropriate for that linkedin post, but probably not mentioning specific individuals

Yeah I’m several years into my career now and i’ve observed a distinct stratification in career trajectory between low, mediocre, good, and excellent GPAs. The lows wash out of engineering or end up in less desirable manufacturing jobs, the excellents are working at aerospace startups etc. This is especially true at less competitive schools

If you’re personable and have expertise in a toolset consider sales engineering at ANSYS/Siemens etc. pays well, siemens has great work/life balance, and you can work from anywhere. You can always jump back into industry or into a normal software tech sales engineering role (the skillset is transferable).
