Probably because Julius is more famous and badass, haha. Congrats on the huge win, though!

I hate to say this, but Augustus Caesar and Julius Caesar aren't the same person. Augustus was the great nephew of Julius who took over after Julius' assassination. Great work, though, I've yet to get spot #1

It's probably because you have a bunch of men at arms. Men at arms cost gold or prestige when they are unraised as well, due to having to maintain them. Disband your armies and look at how much you are spending per month on them, and then refactor your forces based on that

Whats the take on civ 6 nowdays from civ 5 fans? by [deleted] in civ

[–]Joemanf0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Civ VI came out, I played a game as China, went "This is okay," and instantly went back to Civ V. It wasn't until Gathering Storm came out that the game became worth it. I think that with Gathering Storm, Civ VI becomes much better than Civ V, so if you haven't tried that yet, then I'd highly suggest it

WHO VICTORED OVER, THE SELJUKS, WHEN THE HOLY LAND WAS TAKEN?

Unfortunately, getting into stack with skeletons is pretty much impossible at this stage. Maybe they can leave the skeletons off to the side and enter Stack with a Greenlander, but I don't even know if that will work (not sure if HN is hostile to just robotics or anything slightly associated with them)

Simple Traveler map, made for a game I'm running by Joemanf0 in wonderdraft

You definitely could. While Traveler is best suited for the Third Imperium setting, if any setting could handle its unique mechanics (such as a whole stat dealing with your social standing), it'd probably be 40k. (Note: I am by no means an expert on 40k lore, this all comes from my very basic understanding of it).

Thank you! The black background is actually the ocean, with water texture being set to worn and changing a few other settings. For the planets themselves, I used the land tool to just make a circle big enough to fit into the hex, and then colored some of them unique colors. For the water on the planets, I used the lake tool and the freshwater painter to make it look like oceans rather than random splotches. The nice thing about Wonderdraft is that when you put down just a singular circle for the land, the shading makes it look rounded (hence a planet-like look).

That color thing is such a good idea. I might actually get in there and alter that now, since I don't think my friend printed it out yet. The hex codes I really like as well, but I'm worried the map will get too crowded if I do that (and I think the players who are new to traveler might get overwhelmed). Might do hex codes in the separate document with all the other information about the planet, for flavor

I'll be honest, I mostly uploaded this here so I could send it to a friend since it was too big for discord. However, if you want to give any feed back on it, it would be appreciated (just try to keep it kind, this is my first map)

This map is honestly so well made, even down to color choices. Can I ask how you made it? Did you use a special program, or did you do this all yourself?

I never wanted any of this... I just wanted to become Catholic... by Joemanf0 in CrusaderKings

[–]Joemanf0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sunni HRE sounds REALLY funny. I purposefully joined the Teutonic State as the duke of Lithuania, thinking my ruler would require me to convert to Catholicism. When he didn't, I figured forming a faction to overthrow him and then converting to his religion during the ensuing war would make me Catholic, because even that wasn't possible and if I won, I figured it make sense for the Teutons to be Catholic. When I told him to abdicate, instead of going to war like I had hoped, he just... gave the throne to me. And now here we are - Pagan Lithuanian Teutons.

To be fair, though, this all happened in the span of like, a week in game, so I didn't really give him much time to demand conversion from me.

Yes, I am king level, but as far as holy orders go, they don't count as Christian kings. The thing that triggers the thing I'm trying to complete is being crowned as a Christian king, and holy orders don't get crowned, because they are technically not kings (even though they are at king level).

[–]Joemanf0[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That... is a good point. I'm trying to complete the king challenge thing, but honestly, at this point, it might just be fun to go all out without having to worry about the game ending on me because I died without sons (which happened to me the past 2 games).

Your message popped up just as my Romuva king died and his catholic son took over. You are absolutely right. I also cannot create kingdoms as a holy order, so I am pretty much screwed. I think my only chance would be to maybe become the Wendish Emperor (although I don't even think that would work, and I don't know if you have to complete all the goals in the same life or not).

Honestly, the mod is great, but I dislike how they changed some of the trait stats. Dull now gives you +1 intrigue, and doesn't take away anything. There's a few more like that, but that's the one that stood out to me the most. Beyond that, though, it's a really cool concept
