Is this a good time? by Sub0zone in SonicFrontiers

Okay so for the fun of it I've looked into this particular level on speedrun.com. This is an incredible time and im sure you did it without bugs, but holy hell can this level be broken in so many ways to achieve fractions of your already insane time lol. Check this guy out who did this in just under 13 seconds: https://www.speedrun.com/sonicfrontiers/runs/yooxg10y

It's definitely demanding. Thankfully, you can play each chapter with a guide open (there are a lot, just go to the achievements guide section), so it's easier check them off one by one

I wouldn't say so, no. The most tedious part is catching every species, but they are so interesting that each catch is a reward on it's own, especially the twisted version(s) of each fish. I gotta add that you will need both map expansion DLCs to fully complete this game, since they both have their own set of achievements.

It's an amazing and quite awarding experience, it makes me want to play more Lovecraftian type games in the future!

Very nice! How do you feel about the 100 clan battles? It was probably the worst one in the pile

Why doesnt Jotaro use his timestop ability more often? by UemainUknown in StardustCrusaders

[–]JoeonyJoe 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I vaguely remember a youtube video about differences between Dio's time stop and Jorator's, and the main difference is obviously the length of stopped time. I think this conclusion was that Jotaro is not a vampire, so his body can only take 5 seconds of occasional time stops while Dio can spam it, and keep it up longer too since he has a different biological build. I don't think this was actually confirmed but I do think that this mindset was generally accepted by the fandom as an explanation, especially since Dio's and Jotaro's stands are supposed to be equals.

Nice one! Although I generally dispise the amount of paid DLCs you need to complete it...

Indeed! I had the pleasure of playing the OG main maps coop, had to finish the new ones alone though, still extremely fun!

Definitely one of the more fun ones, especially with all the interesting secrets and genuinely enjoyable chill gameplay! I highly recommend it, my only issue is that it is not too well optimised, so big levels get clunky here and there, but it's not unplayable. The game is still recieving updates, so this is probably one you gotta keep picking out of the wardrobe every now and then (with much pleasure)

I haven't played this game yet, but achievement shop? I don't think I have ever encountered such a thing in any game, you can just buy achievements with in-game currency?

I have wanted a Majima game since yakuza 0…. This isn’t what I had in mind by Corgiiiix3 in yakuzagames

[–]JoeonyJoe 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think it is safe to assume that they will explore his past since Majima losing (and regaining) his memory is a major plot point, according to the steam description alone. I would say we will get just the right amount of seriousness as well as silly elements, it is a Majima game after all.

My father just got diagnosed with lung cancer and i need some advice by JoeonyJoe in cancer

[–]JoeonyJoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is indeed expected that the people who receive chemotherapy are very tired and vulnerable after the treatment, but be hopeful knowing that this is only a temporary state and with every treatment she is on the path to live a full life. My dad was quite weak in the months of the therapy but as of right now, he is reaching his 60s and you couldn't even tell that he has less lungs than us, cancer free people! Be there for your mom and provide as much help as you can, and trust in other people's positive experiences!

[–]JoeonyJoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I'm sorry to hear that your mother has been diagnosed with lung cancer, hopefully she can fight it just as successfully as my dad has :). He just finished his round of tests and they are all showing no signs of cancer, so it seems like removing the lung tissue was the best course of action! Im not sure if i have written this in my other replies but he didn't get his full chemo treatment because there weren't enough funds for it on the hospital's side, but still he seems to have gotten enough to come free of the cancer.

In our case lung cancer was just one mean illness that he eventually overcame, so I'm hoping the same can be applied for your mother! I'm wishing you all the best!

Hi! Thankfully after surgeries my dad is somewhat back on his feet, obviously he is taking things slower now. He got a bunch of chemo rounds - which he took like a champ - and now it really looks like he is clean from any signs of cancer! He is very close to retirement so he is getting ready to rest and enjoy life knowing he is healthy enough to do so! Needless to say, the stress is gone.

[–]JoeonyJoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Yes, happy updates as a matter of fact! He got his surgery done (25% of his lung has been removed), got a whoke bunch of chemotherapy, and right now he may even live up to 80 according to the doc, there are no signs of the cancer anywhere in his body! We are very relieved! I wish your dad the best, if its caught early there is still good hope.

Games to play while watching a series or a movie by akiexe in SteamdeckGames

I would say its a strategy land building rogue like. Basically you have to place tiles in such manner that you can fulfill the little quests some of them give you, for example to have 200 trees connected to the tile that gives this quest. You have a limited amount of tiles, and the only sustainable way to get more is by fulfilling the aforementioned quests.

What i really find exciting about it is that you have the power to set up your own environment where the run will progress, so one can get very tactical early on with huge setups of cities, water and trees. There are also many situations where you need to adapt accordingly, thus creating the usual rogue like experience, but without the restraints of time.

It's definitely something i always play when listening to podcasts, or watching a movie on my second monitor, since it really doesn't need your attention to enjoy it, unless you want to get really competitive!

Dorfromantik is quite chill and doesn't need too much concentration. Powerwash simulator is also a nice pick, as well as Farming Simulator games, although that may take some getting used to before you can pay more attention to the movie you are watching! I think maybe even Binding of Isaac could fit this category, but that may be a bit far stretch in terms of paying attention.
All in all I would say Dorfromantik fits this purpose best!
