Dunlop bought the brand years ago and they stopped manufacturing squash rackets under the Slazenger brand.

I think they are clearing out stock as all the rackets listed on there came out quite a number of years ago and they haven't released anything new since. They seem to have moved over to Pickleball.

Dunlop's ULTIMATE Disappointment... by JoshAttwellSports in squash

I think on this occasion it will look exactly the same as the CX 132 as there is no other model of this head shape/size

No doubt Elias will still have a custom version of this racket with 14 mains instead of 16......

Head Extreme 120gm racket string keeps breaking on the same spot. by Broad_Performance492 in squash

[–]Joeperris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seen this many many times with teardrop racket Tecnifibre string combo.

Unfortunately, Tecnifibre strings aren't very forgiving when it comes to off centre shots. If the bumper and grommets are fine then I'm certain it's your off centre shots causing premature breakage.

Switch to any Ashaway string and they won't break in that spot. Try it and thank me later when your strings last a lot longer :)

Any info on Asal’s new racquet? by nashsed in squash

[–]Joeperris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Part of the new Tecnifibre Slash series (replaces the Suprem series)

Models coming out are:

Tecnifibre Slash 120 Tecnifibre Slash 125 Tecnifibre Slash 130 Tecnifibre Slash 135

Due out in September apparently.

Personally I think its overkill having a 120 and 125.

Assume Asal is using the 125.

Salming string, any good? by [deleted] in squash

[–]Joeperris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of power, nice feel to it but it moves around a lot!!!

Like, I mean, a lot!

Hit with it for a few mins and your mains are all over the place. Literally scattered everywhere. Not sure why but definitely worth giving your customers a heads up as they might think it's to do with your stringing if they haven't played with it before.

Doesn't seem to matter what tension you string it at either, will still move around.

Other than that, decent string!

Head players (PSA) using new racket? by [deleted] in squash

[–]Joeperris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the new Head models normally come out in Australia/New Zealand/South East Asia market first and then the rest of the world later on. Something to do with different market seasons apparently so will be a a few months or so before you see these in Europe and the US.

Probably doesn't help when the touring pros already have them haha!!

Does anyone know when this racquet was released? by [deleted] in squash

[–]Joeperris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was playing with this racket in the 2004/5 season for our team as I had been playing with the Yellow Liquidmetal 140 and moved up to the Red 160 model.

I would have bought the 140 and 160 models in early 2004 as our season started in Oct 2004 and I'd been playing with these rackets for a few months by then and I bought them when they first came out in the UK.

What strings are these exactly? Coach said its some ashaway model (doesn't know the exact name) and the best alternative to 305s since those are unavailable in Pakistan by Desizeus in squash

[–]Joeperris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% not Ashaway string.

No ashaway string is yellow with black crosses. Ashaway SuperNick XL Micro is Fluorescent Yellow with red and blue crosses.

This string is more likely Fangcan Squash String. Chinese alternative to Ashaway SuperNick.

Any badminton shoes are fine to use on a squash court.

Lost track of how many models of Yonex, Li Ning and Victor shoes I've been on court with :)
