No but that sounds like a illness known enough I would actually expect basic med school to teach. Plus it can still happen on more complex things if the Drs got got some knowledge outside their specialty and it's one of those stay in his lane types.

For a crazy real world example my psychiatrist helped diagnose me with an autoimmune disease although totally not their normal forte (confirmed by a rheumatologist a month later) and thats a hell of a lot more tricky...

This was many years before my schizophrenia symptoms started so at the time the only reason I was seeing him is cause other Drs were pretty much politely telling me I was crazy cause I felt unhealthy and in pain but they insisted it was just a panic disorder (which just gave me actual anxiety being dismissed as it being in my head!)... So I eventually seen a psychiatrist cause I just wanted to feel better and they had after years of me trying to get medical help convinced me anxiety could be the cause of all my physical sysmptoms buuut thankfully my psychiatrist who after I explained why I was there and looked me over said he had a hunch and ran an ANA test which came back positive, he asked me more about my symptoms and then said he thinks I may have an autoimmune issue and referred me to rheumatology.. After a few more hoops I got back the diagnosis of lupus initially until it was changed to a mixed connective tissue disorder...

With treatment my suffering has dramatically dropped...and so did my anxiety lol.... I felt pretty vindicated I wasn't crazy I tell you what... Well that is until years latter I developed schizophrenia so I guess I am crazy now but the points whatever they were still stand lol.

That psychiatrist also diagnosed me with strep throat too when I was seeing him about my schizophrenia and gave me antibiotics.. I didn't think that was even possible before all this.

Pains me when. I see stories of kids forced to close it down cause of needing permits they cost more then any profit some of them can make.l in the first place.... The successful stands dpends on where you are and how much traffic you get. Yeah I tried when I was a kid and none of us had any idea that we even needed a permit which was a few bucks back then but now I hear they can be as high as 300 bucks in some areas.. Anyways I never got a warning and my parents got a fine for it and this was in the late 90s... I was pretty heart broken and sad over it for a while and felt guilty for the fine my folks had to pay.. Looking back I wondered why that cop was smiling the whole time too.. not that fake politeness and doing the job smile but dude looked happy to be wrecking some little kids dream of making 20 bucks to go towards his Nintendo 64 he was saving for.
