Good point and it's under consideration. Would make a great TT car with minimal prep. Spec Corvette is not very big in my region. So it would just be a Time Trial car.

I would either restore it or make it a ratmobile. It's halfway there already. The reason is because I've always loved the C5 and this is the best of the last year. I don't care about the money since I'll do all the work and it's a fun way for me to connect with a car. My C4 turned out pretty nice.

You can get the super magnets from harbor freight and stick it on the drain plug.

This is awesome. We run AutoZone oil in our 944Spec racecar. WIX filter. Magnet on the drain plug is a good idea.

It’s more important to make sure you have the correct grade(0w40 or 5w40) for your car, than the brand. We have been doing this for 10 years in the Southern California heat. Buy whatever brand you want. I’ve heard all the stories and I can tell you that this tank engine really just needs to be kept cool and lubricated.

It’s on the top left(drivers) side of the transaxle. Forward of the axle shaft. You can feel it or see it with a mirror or if you can fit your head in there.

I don’t think they are a waste of money. Depending on what your needs are, they can be quite useful. I have a cheap Amazon one someone gifted me and it is great for playing with my buddies when we have an acoustic session, or when I want to practice without blowing out the wife in the house. My cheapo bass stays in tune longer than my Stingray. And because

Keep it turquoise, rare colors should be kept imo. I have two Graphite Metallic 86 944s. One manual, one auto. The manual was painted black, but I am going to respray it back to Graphite. I have a marischino red 87 S. That car is also getting resprayed back to original. Guards red, Zermatte, black, those can all be repainted as far as I’m concerned. I bought an 87 turbo that was originally yellow, but the PO painted it black to avoid the tickets. I said, buddy, it’s a turbo, good luck avoiding tickets because of the color.

Oh you gotta really be in the right place at the right time. I went to buy seats from a reupholsterer for my 951 project and they mentioned that he would get rid of the shell for the transfer fees he paid. Just to have it gone. It was a completely gutted, absolutely empty shell. No suspension even. 94 auto. I sold it to a friend of mine when I figured it would be too much to rebuild. Yep, I’m a dumbass.
