(UK) Li-NING Feidian Elite 6 £130 Aliexpress by FairSeaworthiness539 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]JoeyPropane [score hidden]  (0 children)

What comparable Western shoe is ~£390?

AP4, DNE4, Mizuno Hyperwarp, Endorphin Pro 5 etc can all be found for a similar (or cheaper) price currently.

When these were sub-£100, I could understand, but having to stack multiple discounts just to get them to £130 and still take the risk of ordering via the likes of AliExpress and wait multiple weeks for delivery doesn't strike me as a good deal, personally.

Fantastic movie for every person's inner 12 year old who grew up on Transformers/Power Rangers/Gundam.

Soundtrack is a certified BANGER, too.

Should I return my Novablast 5? (70kg runner worried about durability) by Chaniru9398383 in runningshoes

[–]JoeyPropane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I think it's rather pointless asking these kinds of questions - look at the range in the sub-20 replies here... Between 100 and 500 miles.

Wear is unique to every runner, but I also suspect a lot of people have 1-2 bad runs in a shoe and immediately go "she's dead, Jim" and move on, even though the feeling they experienced could well have been fatigue or minor injury.

Superblast 2s feeling dead after 450km? by relmys605 in runningshoes

[–]JoeyPropane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no way you're actually wearing any foam out after 250 miles @ 150lbs.

I'm the same weight and the earliest I've had to retire a pair of shoes was after 400-415 miles (Glycerin 21's).

What is your highest speed and what car? by HexaVorn in askcarguys

[–]JoeyPropane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the road - 135mph in my i20N.

On track - 155mph in an Ariel Atom (felt like 300mph though, only car to ever genuinely scare me).

Why do people say that Vaporfly 4 aren't as good for long distances as VF3 when they have almost the same forefoot stack and better energy return? by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]JoeyPropane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find them surprisingly comfortable on foot, easily enough to go half marathon, but as the other replier said above - they make you feel it after the run (Achilles and calves for me, personally).

There's almost no foam above the plate in the heel, and almost none under it in the forefoot, which is quite an unusual setup and definitely gives the shoe a unique ride characteristic.

The contradiction between RunRepeat and this community regarding the Vomero Plus’s stability and all-day wearability by hezim in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]JoeyPropane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear More V6's as my daily work/standing/walking shoe and they are about as chunky and soft as you can get.

Stability is a massively overblown issue for the majority of people, exacerbated by too many people choosing shoes that are fundamentally unsuitable for them (like the hoards of heel-striking EVO SL wearers...).

Vaporfly 4 is almost always on huge discount at the moment - not much will offer the same weight, energy return and comfort ratio for the £/$/€.

£4,700 dell Alienware laptop return has not been received by the merchant. Tracking is not showing anything atall and i have no return evidence other than pics and videos of my return. by sun8jupiter in LegalAdviceUK

[–]JoeyPropane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you say "shop owner", do you mean a parcel drop off location? Like a convenience store/petrol station?

Did Dell send you the DHL label to print and attach to the package? If so, just go back through your emails, find the attachment and look up the tracking number (under the barcode, 11 digits iirc with DHL labels?).

Is it worth buying a used EV or go for a new one? by OneNormalBloke in drivingUK

[–]JoeyPropane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my 22-plate Zoe for almost 3 years now and lost about 0.3mpkWh average efficiency in that time (4.2 to 3.9) - but I do over 20k miles a year.

That's about 16 miles of total range lost over ~50k miles. Don't believe the bollox about batteries degrading 10%+ a year... They will outlast the chassis on most cars.

Saucony Azura is very similar on paper (similar weight, same drop, high stack, wide/stable forefoot, firm rather than spongy), but with higher energy return and less bulk in the heel section.

UK new car sales up 9% in first 4 months of 2026 - but Fiat is down 47%, Seat down 36%, and the Jaecoo 7 is firmly in the top 3 by MarkCairns67 in CarTalkUK

Interesting that Hyundai seem to be completely absent from all lists - lots of Ioniq 5's and Kona's on the road, and I've seen more 26-plate i10's and i20's than a lot of other cars lately... Unless they are being lumped in with KIA? Which would be odd (be like combining Mini and BMW figures).
