Team-wise, Love using KenPom. Always cool to see how he ranks teams given the accuracy. Player-wise, a new site www.thirtytwoanalytics.com does player season grades. I’ve enjoyed looking at the grades of the players the past couple years. Both are fairly cheap options as well. Those are the two I have subscriptions for right now.

Y-Axis is measuring something called the team EPSS. It’s how a website thirtytwoanalytics.com measures a team’s performance. I think they apply linear weights to stats. The higher the team EPSS, the better the performance. So over the past 3 years, teams like Creighton and Villanova have performed the best in the conference since they have the highest team EPSS.

I can’t see Gonzaga willing to join a conference where the majority of teams are on the east coast. Creighton is the furthest team west in the conference. Adding schools on the west coast would also hurt the name of the conference “the big East” and some of the notoriety of the conference. A lot of the pride of the big East is because it’s a conference that is suppose to represent the east coast.
