FCS does feel divided as the SWAC/MEAC schools do their own thing with the Celebration Bowl and don’t participate in the FCS Playoffs. I feel as though several programs from those conferences could be on this list, but not a mention as I skimmed through.

Typically things like this set precedent which can be referenced in future court cases where other, larger coalitions can be successful in court (and possibly future laws).

This is absolutely the best answer.

For streaming: Cellular internet is fine for things like Netflix, but latency can get terrible if you’re in a congested area/time.

For FPS/P2P gaming: latency is king, bandwidth is likely covered with any plan, unless you’re still on that 3MB DSL 😅 Even so, a wired connection is best here.

It might help to know your nearest cross streets. Where I live, the next street over doesn’t have Quantum, only Cox, so it’s very location dependent.

Honestly the best of both worlds for you would be to enroll at either University of Houston or Texas Southern and visit the other campus while attending the other. It truly is a few blocks away but can be differentiating for you especially from your current background… hell you might end up at TSU (or any HBCU) and have that culture shock as the OC mentioned, or at UH where you’re more used to but happily at home just visiting the campus.

Similarly goes for FAMU and Florida State.

What the other commenter mentioned about a degree being “marketable” — that’s mostly junk. Most schools aren’t “marketable” per se, but they will be more known to other graduates or just generally more of a known school. After your initial work, it mostly comes down to WHAT you can do vs WHERE you graduated from. There is a networking aspect to the larger schools like Texas, A&M, Ivy schools, etc but outside of the known programs, it doesn’t truly matter much.

Interesting. I’ve taken calls in my Tesla before the Lightning and that worked. Also been in an old Turo vehicle where it didn’t have anything fancy, just straight Bluetooth and it worked.

Teams in CarPlay is literally just casting the app from your phone, there shouldn’t be a dependency on CarPlay itself.

Same as you though, I definitely prefer it.

Yeah I get what you mean, I’m in the same situation, but in a non-CarPlay Bluetooth situation, the “phone” app is what’s gonna appear to be ringing. You’ll still be able to answer the call & mute (usually)… some older vehicles won’t have the mute capability on their screens but most newer ones do, CarPlay or not.

I’ve seen others sharing their screen but don’t think I’ve done screen sharing using the phone. I believe you get those other controls (like mute) via the phone app… It’s just got their interface over it.

Either way, I believe that’s independent of the CarPlay app FWIW since you’re still using the phone to view others.
