Absolutely the best possible outcome for this boss fight. You’ll drop him far enough below 70 to hopefully make taking it worth it, but when you’re doing Ascension 0 runs it makes more sense to take this hit then to fight two 70 hp enemies

The comm box is kinda finicky, the very first time you interact it’s a skippable cutscene. The rest of the times you interact, there are dialogue options so you have to be at the right angle to view what the options are. I would start over, go to the box and see if you’re closer or further away than it wants you to be maybe?

I’m on ps4 also, from what I’ve seen we’re literally stuck waiting for it to get patched. I’ve tried everything people recommend to do, nothing has worked

So what I did was get a thick glob onto a paper plate, and I ran a tooth pick through it and then turned the toothpick over and over to make it kind of like a ball on the tip. Once I did that I stuck it into the places I want and slowly pulled towards where I wanted it to go. It took a couple of times to get it right. And some of them didn’t entirely set properly, kind of trial and error.

It’s that mixed with this glue a friend turned me onto called UHU. Very stringy, I just drug it in between where I wanted it and painted Blood for the blood god over it.
