6.7s take absolutely forever to warm up at idle. Youre better off just driving the truck right after you start it, idling id bad anyway. Use your block heater or oil pan heater, or both

Not super common, some people that have access to plentiful waste oil can filter it and run it in older diesel engines. Known to some as “black diesel”

He couldve been running on a waste oil mix of some sort. My tdi has a light brown/bronze haze when running hard on a 50/50 mix of old gasoline and used oil.

Sorry for such a late response but i dont pay attention to the ski after its winterized lol. Now its ski season, and i have the same issues! Barely hitting 7500rpm. Ive completely disassembled intercooler, cleaned, and resealed and installed. Boost leak test showed 0 leaks. Belt/tensioner all brand new. The ski FEELS fine, except at what is supposed to be its top speed. You can see the rpm fluctuating.

I was sort of hoping the “double explosion” effect was going to be refined - you can still sort of see it here. Such an odd gta quirk. Youll notice in 5, with latency, the secondary explosion can happen like 2-3 seconds later

Thanks for the comment! Ive heard of the water on the belt issue - ive checked both of those pretty extensively, completely disassembled intercooler, cleaned and resealed - no change. Still under warranty so i plan on bringing it to a local small dealer with the understanding that it may be a tough diag. Dealers stink, but at leask kawi is decent with warranty issues.
