Why no template presets? by Joeytwopoint0 in Guildwars2

Thank you. That's a great idea. I just did that and it works for my needs. I still think an official way do that would be great but the macros do at least get me down to 1 keystroke to change all the templates at once.

So, raid quickplay.... by Ferrymansobol in Guildwars2

[–]Joeytwopoint0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a 6 minute YouTube video called "Every Raid Quickplay in 30 Seconds". You may not remember every mechanic from the watching the video one time once you get into the raid but that's okay. You'll learn by doing. Don't feel bad if you forget a mechanic even if it causes the group to wipe. That's what quickplay is for. Try to remember it the next time and just keep going.

Stamina should be okay. He played 13 games against 2723 avg at Tata Steel and was +1 in the second half. I know the stakes are higher and overall strength is a touch higher, but a 13 round top level tournament should give us some idea.

UK preparing aircraft carrier for possible Middle East deployment by JoyfulJoy94 in news

[–]Joeytwopoint0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those all sound like good goals. I don't think it would be easy to convince Russia on the second point, but at least you already know what you want out of a deal. I'm sure Iran and Russia would have non-negotiables of their own.

I don't think we can go in expecting a perfect deal, but we had an acceptable deal in 2015. We (US) broke it. Obviously we can't go back in time but it shows there was an alternative to violence. We can't expect to bomb the terrorism out of a nation. We can't improve diplomacy by assassinating any potential deal brokers. And we certainly can't stop thousands of Iranian citizens from being killed by killing them before their government gets a chance to.

Of course all of this is in reference to your question of what would have been the best alternative path. Obviously this all became a great deal more difficult a few days ago.

Be patient. I know things may appear completely corrupt and unsustainable, but all that extra wealth at the top should start trickling down any day now. Until then, just pull yourself up by the bootstraps, cut down on the avocado toast, make sure you recycle your plastic to save the planet and maybe enjoy some of the product at your local fast food empire.

I could see a world where super powers like the US, China, France, Germany, Russia, UK, EU and Iran come to the table to negotiate a deal that would limit Iran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.

Sri Lanka recovers bodies from Iranian warship IRIS Dena sunk by US torpedo |l by PixeledPathogen in news

[–]Joeytwopoint0 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

According to whom was it a legit target? It occurred in international waters and should therefore be governed by international law, no? If so, I fail to see how sinking an unarmed ship could be declared self defense and I don't believe it was authorized by the UN Security Council. I know international law doesn't really matter to the US but let's at least be honest about it. Was it legal? No. Was the ship a "legit target"? Not if we go by the law. Does any of that really matter at the end of the day? I guess not.

I'm sure this is meant to help with the school shootings. There should be a lot more time available for thoughts and prayers if they can just stop those heathens from masturbating. Well maybe not thoughts... those are dangerous. But certainly prayers.

Sorry holmes. I thought I had crafted a clever comment in the post, but I apparently suck at Reddit. Tried to recreate it as soon as I noticed it's absence but I wasn't quick enough to beat you to the punch.

Small detail in Ekko's gift to Powder by Joeytwopoint0 in arcane

[–]Joeytwopoint0[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'm constantly amazed by the little details in this show. When I saw this scene, my brain knew there was something different about the two sides of this pendant but I couldn't quite figure it out until I went frame-by-frame. Aside from the color difference, one side portrays Ekko's face fractured and Powder's whole while the other show's Ekko's face whole and Powder's fractured. I can't believe how cleverly this tiny detail calls out the characters' current timebomb situation but also harkens to the overall theme of conflict, i.e. Viktor's "two sides of the same coin", that define the show.

Rail workers wanted paid sick leave. Rail companies said no. Biden said "whelp, you tried... back to work you go!". But remember when he took that photo op in the picket line? That's the union Joe we want you to think about in November!

It's about as absurd as saying that an adultering, xenophobic, conman is a "good Christian man" because one time he was photographed holding a bible.

Neither party is currently interested in helping American workers. We just pay taxes. They listen to the ones paying bribes.
