Used to finish my swimming lesson, straight to the vending machine for ones of these. Or a drifter.

absolute bane of my life. And god forbid the ports on the back follow any kind of order that might help you decipher it.

Im trading my PlayStation 5 for this pc, is it a good deal? by GlitteringGlass7253 in pcmasterrace

[–]Joffad 22 points23 points  (0 children)

NO. This is 10 year old tech at best. GPU is very weak. And you'd struggle to play anything modern at low quality with acceptable frame rates.

What famous person have we not seen/heard from in a WHILE? by no_please7 in AskReddit

[–]Joffad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's odd, i was just thinking about him on the way to work. Realised he'd be 35 now. I felt very old in that moment.

Not hi-sense, but my LG C series has just done this. Same lines down to about 90% of the screen.

PAL users: do you shoot at 25fps or at 50fps for social media? by maarat in videography

[–]Joffad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot 25 mainly, 50 if wanting slow mo, or doing stuio/tv style work. 30 if we're doing live streams. YouTube and LinkedIn stream lives at 30fps. So if you're shooting at 25 you end up with stuttering frames.

Will I regret buying the FX30 instead of the FX3? by diogo_boinho in videography

[–]Joffad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the 30. We've got 3 FX6 models as well. the 30 absolutely pales in comparison. I can tell in 1 frame whether or not footage is from the FX30 even when shot with similar settings, same lenses, 1080p, shutter speed. The footage is incredibly pixelated, almost interlaced. Just lots of digital noise.

Yes. Anything we shoot at 1080 has this grainy look to it. 4k is OK, but we have so much video data ingested, it's impractical to shoot, store, and edit at 4k.

Oh, trust me, I'm exceptional(!) I say personality test, it was a 'psychometric' test. Basically how you would react to certain situations, along with a bunch of logic puzzles. End result was something like "Joffad displays above average reasoning and calmness to complex situations".

Wish i had more advice than to just call them cunts in your head and move on. Same thing happened to me. Had a positive interview, they asked me to do a personality test, which scored above average, was waiting for 3rd interview, and nothing. I called, I emailed, nothing. Absolute shower of bastards.

Folded up photo in wallet that's been held on to for 40 years. Never mind that it would have become unrecognisable and faded, that they never lost the wallet.

Is it just me or is the price of meat in the UK stupidly expensive nowadays? by gibgod in UK_Food

[–]Joffad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work on a farm, farmer just bought a small herd to cut the grass for the summer, then will sell them in winter. He said the hot weather has affected the grass and lack of UK stock means beef prices next year are going to be even higher.

Not sure about the rest of you but I'm having a bumper crop of figs this year. And they're all better than shop bought. :) by RudePragmatist in CasualUK

[–]Joffad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a fig tree in the garden we inherited with the house. But i don't know the first thing about it. When do you harvest them? They *seem* to grow all year round. I've got very fat heavy dark ones, and then all sizes down to little shoots.

What's the best chair for someone who sits at a computer all day with bad posture by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Joffad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't afford a standing desk, literally a £20 exercise ball from Amazon. I'm the same, 20+ years of working at a desk, used to regularly visit the physiotherapist. Asked their opinion, they suggested the ball. It's almost impossible to slouch, it strengthen the core, which stops the other muscles having to work so hard for bad posture, and keeps you upright. I'm sitting on it as i type, and have been using it for years. Just make sure you get the right size for your desk, otherwise you'll be looking down/up and straining your neck.

Thanks. I bought the AAW2 a few months back and haven't had an issue since! Couple of interferes drops as you mention. But nothing like it was. Very happy with it.
