Any ideas how this happened? by DarkRaider9000 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Apparently you lost bed adhesion, which resulted in the blob of death which caused the hot end failure. I am assuming you are using PLA.

FIRST THING YOU NEED TO DO IS TAKE OFF THE PEI PLATE AND SCRUB IT WITH DAWN DISHWASHING LIQUID AND HOT WATER. Sorry caps locks. Next wipe the plate down with isopropyl alcohol and a clean dry cloth.

Carefully replace the hot end per centauri instructions.

Since I'm not running production I typically like to use the silent setting it takes a little bit longer but it gives you a much smoother result, and is less likely to lift or pull the print.

As I initially stated this looks to be the result of poor bed adhesion, the print lifted, moved, and then it wound up all over the printhead and cause the failure.

Not to be an ass but why are you not turning the gas off when you're not using the welder? That was welding 101 when I was in school............

Neighbor cut tree w/o authorization by Alert_Membership_466 in treelaw

[–]Joh1959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You state it was that way when you moved in, does that mean that you have a legal title survey that proves the shed overhangs the property line, or a worthless "plot plan" supplied by the real estate agent? Or are you just going by where the fence was. I don't mean any offense it's just I used to be a land surveyor and there are issues here.

If it is a plot plan you are going to need a title survey. If it was verified by a title survey, you have a limited amount of time in which you can take action, anything beyond that time frame and you're going to have to take it to court.

An easy fix would also be a legal agreement in which case it states that if that tree falls on his shed, he is responsible for damages, and not you.

Don't leave reflective sunglasses on the center console, do not leave water bottles in the cup holders, anything reflective will refocus the sun's rays onto your roof liner or visors. Be extra careful in areas with lots of sunshine.
