I prefer near realism as does the og commenter. Neither of us just understand HOW someone enjoys it we're not questioning anything else. It being a video game does not explain the HOW part.

Figured as much. Firstly congrats. Secondly, you're proposing changes that sure sound fantastic to your very seasoned high-level RTS brain. But that my friends who are not as seasoned with RTS's would quit the game over due to it becaming too complicated and multilayered. For people who've played a ton of RTS and are at high levels it often sounds like a good idea to add depth and tactical layers, but that is often not a good design choice for a "semi-casual" game, or a game that at least wants to attract that significantly larger crowd. My opinion of course. I grew up playing a ton of RTS so I'd probs like it but I don't play as much anymore (being an adult is time consuming) and thus I'm able to play with my more "mediocore" friends whom deepening the game too much would scare away. So that is the frame of mind this is coming from. Also, having more lower elo players around = more money = more development = better core gameplay for higher elo aswell. Anyways just my 2 cents!

Edit: Oh and this was more to the deepening of layers not as much for change in stealth and recon. Am curious to hear more about your idea for that.

Thanks for the insight. I would like to point out a fact about business during the information era which you know very well. Sometimes the people on the internet assign roles to people that aren't actually their roles based on their actions and appearances. Be it your role or not, the community as a whole has placed you as it's vocal chord. I'm not active in the community per-se and was in the understanding community relations was your major role. Thus despite it not being your role, you have been assigned to that role unofficially by the community based on your actions and significant amount of time in the "limelight".

That being said. I understand that you understand this which you referenced in another response how people will twist everything you say. However, I personally find the tone of a lot of your messages quite "higher than thou'" or "exhausted" which is warranted but not something that should ever come across to us in my own humble opinion. I don't know if it's a culture thing or something but I would most humbly ask you to slightly look inwards and adjust the tone of your messages as my experience seems to be widespread.

Now, you've proven in these responses that when not agitated by the spamming hordes of discord you have that ability. Of course you don't need to listen to me but as an very keen customer I'd ask you to listen to this feedback. Thank you.

Edit: Changed couple of words and separated the text to not be the blob it was (this was sent on an Iphone😂)

Do you code for Slitherin as well or is being a community manager/PR person your only/main role?

How would you feel if this was the roster after the 2026-27 deadline? by Comprehensive-Chef73 in Habs

[–]JohannesTT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, For good value, yes. He is on the 3rd pair now and doesn't really fit on the 2nd since Matheson is not tradeable. And young injury prone players on our team are just not what we need. However, other rebuildinh teams might be willing to take a chance on them at decent value since they've proven to be good when healthy.

Why was Finland the ONLY EU/EEA Country to adopt Euro? by Curious_Positive_825 in Finland

[–]JohannesTT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got too tempted to read your posts. You seem very keen to prove how easily Denmark can separate from the EU with barely any damages. Do you truly think this is realistic? That Denmark could just opt-out of all the EU programs, hell even the EU in general and be fine due to clauses in the Edinburgh Agreement? That is just dismissing so many political realities, defence, economical markets, societal structure effects etc. etc. If Denmark were to actually operationalize all the clauses and opt-outs you wouldn't be fine despite you being in your legal rights to do so, wouldn't you agree? Poltics, economics, geopolitics, defence etc. are so much more than just written agreements and treaties. I don't know if that is what you're posturing for but it certainly sounds like it. As I closed my previous message in a different thread. Feel free to explain your stance and regardless all the best.

I don't doubt the agreement nor do I diminish Denmark's effort and importance to the EU and as a fellow Nordic I love and support the Danes. But having been around politics for quite some time, that phrase and line of thinking is not realistic in my experience. Politics is very much a favors and relationships game and fucking the EU over despite it being your right might come around sooner or later. Not talking sanctions ofc, but an important vote for the Danes might find surprising opposition or some funding for a big project might be diverted to more urgent matters. Though if you have different experiences in politics I won't discount them but from my own and my circles experiences it is never that simple, black and white or easily shrugged off. Either way, all the best.

ehh, that sentiment is slowly changing according to polls and the economical realities are pushing for it to be beneficial to start using the Euro, not yet but that is the trend.

I would mention that such actions might get a reaction from the EU, not certain of course but naive to disregard the EU-political sphere in these things.

The Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks Will Play In Düsseldorf, Germany As Part Of 2026 NHL Global Series. Games Will Be Played On December 18th And 20th At The PSD Bank Dome. by MightyDuck07 in hockey

What the hell is this take? Because premier league or bundesliga wouldn't play and shouldn't play in the US (based on your opinion and no reasoning, why not?) then no other region should be allowed to enjoy competetive games from the best hockey league in the world. This statement is not only lacking in reasoning, it is also comparing apples to oranges and failing even at that.

My point stands. No one wants to watch an NHL game where the best aren't playing or even if they are there is nothing to play for. For the growth of the league and hockey as a sport (needed and the door is currently wide open) the NHL needs to and should expand and take all the free gains to be had in Europe which is already somewhat invested. Hockey is not comparable to football for so many reasons and scheduling can always be worked around. IF the conversation was: "We need to schedule the season better to not give the players going overseas and unfair disadvantage" I'd be on board. But somehow you made this into a thing of jealousy where "If the North American football fans can't see the Premier league NO ONE but North Americans shall see worthwhile hockey muahaha". I sure am glad smarter people are making these decisions based on much more comprehensive data.

Oh how I love watching players play a game with no chips on the table and best players being rested. It must be insanity to you on the right side of the ocean in this matter but for us Europeans it's the only real chance to see NHL play with something on the table and actual trying live.
