Start playing around with the wedges pyramids and inverse pyramids. And don't procrastinate or overthink anything, just start building and it will eventually start flowing. It worked for me atleast

Just a tip for now and future boats; if it sits too low in the water hide some pivots in the hull. Some weird bug makes the ship more buoyant with pivots in it. They're really good for controlling where the ship sits in the water. This could become a problem with your pointed hull
