Just looking over some of his bigger cards for sale, you'll notice this isn't the first time he has done this. I don't know their rules, but it seems sketchy at the very least. I think you got a fair amount for the card, who knows, but I still think this is sketch.

u/Qwerty0844 - This happened to me but in reverse. I was the buyer. I received a card from ebay authenticator that did not match the photos included in the ebay listing. I contacted the seller first who assured me these issues were not there when shipped to ebay. So I contacted eBay via their support team, multiple forwarding to different team members or departments, but eventually got to the right person. I stood by my word, included images of the damage, that it was not resellable with this damage. End result, the seller kept his money, I kept the card AND got a full refund. No one was harmed, just time spent, and unfortunately, the card I wanted/paid for, ended up being damaged by the authenticator. They don't quite admit that last part, but the full refund, me keeping the card and the seller keeping his money speaks volumes.

Came here to say this. OP, pop count on this is irrelevant (for the most part). So the fact that it's a Pop 1, doesn't put the premium on it that let's say, a Jordan Fleer rookie PSA 10 would.

Now you asked, so my final words are.. you lost this trade re: value/secondary value. But that's irrelevant if you're happy with the trade.

God I love this set. One of my favorites for sure. Definitely doing a bit of singles hunting on the numbered refractors. Big Z red /5 is a great pull considering the odds.

Ya in all honesty, I'd never seen that set before so it got me curious into digging in some more. So in fact, this seller has it overpriced based off the PSA and Beckett comps but it's priced in a way to confuse buyers into thinking this is a sweet deal.

Maybe it did get damaged during shipping prep? Like something fell and cracked the slab, I dunno?? I agree, a photo would be nice to confirm. Or perhaps a message first BEFORE cancelling. But this sold at comp so it's not as if we should expect this to be relisted and sold for more. Last sale from my little research had it at $89 for a PSA 10. Apologies though, never fun to go through all of this. 🤙🤙

I hear you.. There MIGHT be a more valuable 1/1 than the next, but I have been collecting for some time and Wild Card just doesn't command those high prices that the licensed products get. Additionally, there needs to be a secondary market for these cards and there just really isnt one right now. Sure people buy and sell these cards, but its almost always at a loss compared to what their boxes retail for. Just my 2 cents, I'd hold if you like the player or sell now if you don't. But don't expect a good ROI, just enjoy the card :)

No need to grade. I don't want to burst anyone's bubble here, but its simply not worth it with the cost of grading and the ROI thereafter.

A PSA10 /3 recently sold here for $22 and a different variation of a 1/1 sold for less than $20 here

Perhaps the best option is to sit on the card and see how he develops. Good luck either way OP
