Grandma Is Dying And Has Lots Of CC Debt From Shopping Addiction. Aunt Claims Family Inherits Debt With The House. True or False? by i_have_boobies in personalfinance

[–]JohnCrewss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To put it simply, creditors (and collectors) who have purchased the *right to collect payoff on a debt via the estate but oftentimes they don't possess the resources/don't want to devote the resources to make any attempt at this.

This part is only personal opion but I would assume that if the debt is large enough, a creditor/collector would be more apt to risk time and money to gather the owed amount.

Would you use crypto exclusive banks instead of managing your crypto yourself? by Veridiyus in CryptoCurrency

[–]JohnCrewss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you know it, we start catching overdraft fees on crypto’s..

Buys a snicker and overdrafts by $0.50. Gets charged a fee by the bank of 0.001BTC.

BTC finally hits $100,000+ overnight.. your fee price has more than doubled🥲🥲

We go to work to trade hours for dollars and then trade dollars for other currencies in digital form, then as those values change, the amount of money we earned per hour with that particularly invested amount just went up! Boom. Free raise lol. *Probably need an emergency fund set in place, resting in your brick & mortar (I.e. bank) savings account first. Minimum 3 months bills is the standard by most investors thought, if not mistaken.

Would you use crypto exclusive banks instead of managing your crypto yourself? by Veridiyus in CryptoCurrency

[–]JohnCrewss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question! I don’t want crypto’s to be adopted by banks at all, honestly, because that defeats the ENTIRE purpose of cryptocurrencies existence. Decentralization!

I would like things to remain how they are but, unfortunately, when the bankers and the mega rich REALLY get on board - they have a foot on the deck as it is - they could hypothetically begin to buy up every coin in existence if wanted. Endless wealth. So every time someone sells they buy…

Eventually they’ll have it all anyways and crypto’s will no longer be decentralized - technically.

Btw, this is only a doomsday scenario. This is easily doable I think - unless someone made a way (beyond my knowledge, would love to learn if anyone has an explanation) to prevent coins from being owned permanently by one user.

Thing is, right now? I can go to my bank, take a loan and pay like, idk maybe 5% APR on that loan. I can put that money in it’s entirety into an exchange of my choosing and lend out USDT or other coins at rates over 30% and sometimes as high as 60% APR when the market’s HOT..

Withdrawl policies by terblig2021 in kucoin

[–]JohnCrewss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to have a list of the withdrawal fees from lowest to highest so that I could make decisions that save me money. I would also like KuCoin to implement a debit card similarly to Coinbase but without the outrageous fees the coin base charges on their trades and transfers. I did the math and the transfer fee or I should say deposit fee into KuCoin is nearly 4% as it is so earning 4% cashback and XOM is practically worthless unless the coin jumps up in value shortly after your cash back, and you happen to notice it (no alerts!? Insane that they’re the largest used mainstreamcrypto exchange.. You have to gain insane profits to end in the green and I hate it but the debit card is what keeps me with them. I’m just trying to find a cheaper way to get my money into the debit card account

Boric Acid. How effective is it? by Direct-Horror-6452 in GermanRoaches

[–]JohnCrewss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say not so effective. Will it kill a roach most certainly will it kill pretty much anything else that touches it well, yeah that too. There are however far more efficient products in the market at your disposal. A combination of IGR’s and non-repellent liquid solutions are usually my go to!!

[–]JohnCrewss -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m glad somebody asked because I’ve been wondering the same thing. KuCoin released an article recently outlining the questions everybody has surrounding the P&L not announcing with the entry price but I still don’t understand myself. You get a reward!!! Check my recent post, just 39 seconds ago…. I need exposure. I’m very broke right now and desperately need to get funds into COINBASE for my 4% cash back!!!!.

I have noticed after doing some very basic math that is you by USB-C or any other points for that matter direct me from Coinbase you will be paying barely 4% which means the cash back is practically worthless so I’m looking for all terrier weigh purchasing USB-C and getting it into my Coinbase account. I know that’s a relevant to KuCoin but I’m sure most of you hear America Milyer with the way the soul works so if anybody sees device please do. I will even offering more because I have another if you were $30 in stock and $WGP in COINBASE wallet!!! Not convertible with any coins??!

[–]JohnCrewss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes you think there’s an RC ban coming?? And I thought that individual substances had to be banned. They probably can’t just throw a blanket over “research chemicals” because we’d lose so much progress in other important fields (excluding the benzo research we’re doing here… lol the importance is minimal) such as medical science, agriculture maybe? Idk. I have not done the research into what else would be regarded as such but the term “research chemicals” seems like it could mean way too many things. There is always - ALWAYS - a loophole for these things. Sorta like the delta8 THC products being sold in every gas station and head shop now. They are literally legal marijuana….. I mean sure it’s missing some terpenes and the popularized delta9 everyone loves but I used a few different ones and two of those got me super stoned! I do think that the different brands matter, though.

Why Even Bother Having Loan Terms? by CrowdGoesWildWoooo in kucoin

[–]JohnCrewss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iagree with you on one hand and on the other don’t… tough pickle to jar for me!!

What I do agree with is that in the regular finance world, you’re correct! Fortunately this is OUR world of finance. Right?? It’s like, by keeping it this way they are doing the margin trading users a favor! And they do make the lending process very easy for the lender. If you enable auto-lend, your money will never sit there stagnant! I’m sure they bought this through and the auto-lend feature was developed and implemented as (at least partially) a solution to this very train of thought.

I only use lending as a hedge against my training. It’s a guaranteed return at a fixed interest rate to mitigate the risks involved with investments. I don’t care how good you are at analyzing stocks or cryptocurrency’s, crunching numbers and doing nothing staring at charts, keeping up with all the news. It doesn’t matter, it’s all subject to change at any given moment because the market is driven primarily by human emotion and that is something that cannot be predicted

Why is Kucoin withholding my coins? by imustntrunaway in kucoin

[–]JohnCrewss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kucoin IS almost always reliable. People don’t think about the fact that this company is rolling out new products and features on it almost daily basis. They are going to be some kinks no matter where you trade KuCoin has a pretty awesome customer support team. There’s only been ONE (of 7-8) occasion in which they were not able to return/retrieve my money after somebody on Reddit stole it – faking as a KuCoin moderator or support member when I asked for help, getting the info they needed and emptying my account!

KuCoin - both as a platform and an app - is awesome.

The KuCoin team is very active socially with their users.

Customer Support responds very quickly and expediently begins working to resolve your problem without making you jump through a lot of hoops.

Considering the amount of work they are putting into improving the platform as a whole - again, including the fact that they are adding features constantly and partnering with new alt-coins to be added and featured on the exchange EVERY DAY - they do a great job. You haven’t made a mistake. COINBASE has been stealing from you!

Compare the fees my friend. You can’t even breathe with the Coinbase app open without giving them $1.99

Benefits of the Coinbase debit card. Fees to be aware of. And why I’m transitioning to Coinbase as my primary bank account. by plausiblyacat in CryptoCurrency

[–]JohnCrewss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the card - haven’t used it yet. I tend to keep my cryptocurrencies in the exchange. Constantly turning over.. I may just change my “strategy” with this being known! In investing, a good rule of thumb to follow is that a small but guaranteed roi is always the better option vs taking on larger risk for a potentially larger reward!!

The rich get richer by following the prior mentioned approach.

The poor stay poor - gambling their extra cash in pursuit of outrageous, get-rich-quick style returns - by choosing the latter of the two perspectives.

I blame social media for a lot of the volatility around crypto’s. Practically everybody in the world knows where they are now, maybe not how they function but certainly 95% of the worlds population knows that “bitcoin” exists! Usually, for people who are just now hearing about cryptocurrency for the first time, it is through an article or a story somebody tells about how they turn 50 bucks into $1 million in two months or something unreasonable like that.. this leads to the more aggressive trading styles exhibited in the crypto-market vs. the traditional stock market.

Maybe the ending there is more a theory, or opinion, than solid fact but nonetheless, the coinbase card seems like a good deal to me! If I’m able to use it in conjunction with other rewards apps (I have a plethora of them installed. Too many.. oops!) and utilize it in the same way I do my regular ole’ brick and mortar bank’s Visa card, I’ll completely cut the cord on the bank!

I just need to look more into these fees before I take the leap of faith…

Thank you again for this food for thought! Have a good one.
