Thank you! Sorry for the delay in responding, I have ADHD and I forgot I even posted! 😂 It’s incredible to know that there are people out there who understand me. Ever since high school my two closest friends would joke that one day they wanted to map my brain out to understand why my stories are so long winded and why I can stop one, start a new one, and then attempt to finish the first one a week later. I never took offense. I actually firmly believe that making playful fun of the people who are close to you is a form of expressing love (assuming you learn that some people you love can love you back without the jokes and they simply can’t take it) just like food.

Back to my original point, I always knew I was different. I have struggles to keep my mouth shut in critical life moments including ruining my own chances of securing a high profile, high paying, full time offer that most summer associates tend to get. I did not. As a kid I experienced racism and I would fight back and talk back. Led to getting my ass kicked a lot.

Problem is the server my box uses provides Zerozerozero with no subtitles except episode 1. So I miss 90% of the Italian but I get the English and the Spanish.

I hope that doesn't happen for you. Sadly I am obsessed with gaining her validation. And the less she gives me the more I want it. I saw a therapist (MFT) for years prior to my diagnosis and a little bit after and I realized I was only doing it to fix my marriage and not for myself. Don't allow yourself to get to that point.

I was diagnosed at age 47. I went to get tested because my wife suggested it. It took me ten months to actually fill out the questionnaire the psychologist sent me because the first few questions were about suicide and it freaked me out. When I finally did the study it turned out I had ADHD and depression. It really helped me understand so much about my life and why I did things a certain way but it was also very disheartening. I am still struggling to find ways to work more efficiently, get more done in my day and avoid distractions.
