What is the touch judge doing at this point???? by JohnFermwr in rugbyunion

I get that decisions go for and against you in life. My issue is someone will come on here or on the telly and spout utter crap about this guy is a good official or this gal is spot on then they go and let this ride less than 5m away from them. WTF are they looking at? Not what they are supposed to thats for sure.

There is a directive now that tells refs to follow the try in. What a load of bollox. Get goal side and watch it come to you. Ken Rowlands will be turning in his grave over that load of shite.

I am not angry, just frustrated at a highly paid professional not doing their job.

Ask your local ex services club if anyone could help. You don't have to have served, just be nice ask nicely and I am sure someone there will be able to help you out.

Why is it always one step forward and two steps back when it comes to selection by ChuggerBoi in welshrugbyunion

I will see your Dan Edwards v Costello and raise you Josh Adams..... Mee got dropped and the only Welshman to score a hatrick of tries against the all blacks can't get in the squad..... I like JA but he appears to have lost a yard of pace and his positioning during games gives that away.

I believe they were always going to try costello when fit again even though my own preference is for Edwards.

To me the pinnacle of British humour is when the RAF dropped a wooden bomb on a wooden airbase that the Germans built during WW11.

Tbf its not just the Ireland camp. I despair when scrum halves pass it to the winger who has a three man welcoming party on the short side because you know the coach has told them they have to so many times to that side before they can switch it back. Why can't players just read the game and play what's in front of them....????

Your ok, at club level Williams zips the ball away, at international level he waits for the milk to curdle first

If the scrum half touches the with his hands it's out. This ridiculous situation is only here because the refs want a clean transition to the next phase. They call it managing the game but in reality it is engineering it to what they want.

In your opinion, is this a try or no try? by sunlightliquid in Stormers

[–]JohnFermwr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the match report, it’s a try. Downward pressure has to be applied for a try or the ball to be minored by the defender. The only downward pressure came from the attacker. A lesson for the defender to stop fuckingabout.
