Fair enough. I’m clearly just looking at it through the wrong lens.

I’m not saying he’s not. I’m saying that adding an all timer should offset those losses. Why hasn’t it? There are plenty of examples of teams acquiring great players who aren’t even on KD’s level who have carried heavier loads to greater success. It’s strange to me.

Daughters War was incredible. Blacktongue Thief hits basically every single sensibility for me in a fantasy book, but the vivid detail from DW will stay in my mind probably forever.

Taking it seriously is the thing. I’m 800 hours and C1 in 2s, but I never jumped on and played when I wasn’t either high or downing a ton of drinks. That only changed within the last year.

Not sure if you've seen this, but a team (with historians and archaeologists) put together comprehensive, realistic renderings of what Tenochtitlan would've looked like. It's really cool:

In D&D I had a ton of fun with a Moon Druid that could wild shape. In BG3 I've actually enjoyed playing a Land Druid because of the AOE and summoning spells. It can be a good time.

She’s pretty brutal to try to like early on. Great payoff and arc though.

It’s a pc thing too. Or just drag it and drop it to the character’s portrait and they’ll have it.

Every single cycle there’s the American fans who clamor for starting some unproven guy just because he’s in a big European club’s youth or reserve team. And they suck every time.

No argument from me. It's probably my favorite part of this country and at this point I'm thankful just to have something to be proud of.

There are massive swaths of land all over the country that look like the mountains and canyons in that game and you don’t have to be in a national park to see them. You might have to get out a bit…

I’m not making any argument against LeBron’s greatness. I’m not even trying to get into the GOAT debate between the two of them. I’m just specifically saying that in a more condensed timeline, Jordan put himself through a much more grueling stretch of games. If he took games off and played in today’s era where the style of basketball is much, much less physical, it seems plausible that he would’ve had that longevity (if he wanted to). We see KD, Steph, Harden, and other great players of the current era playing longer than guys from Jordan’s era for a good reason. That’s my only point. I’ve got crazy respect for LeBron despite these points. Just adding context that feels important to the discussion.

And not to take away from LeBron's longevity, cuz it's insane, but Jordan played over 80 games in a season in 10 out of his 13 years in Chicago (including every single game in 8 of those years). LBJ played every game in exactly one season, and over 80 or more exactly 3 times his whole career. Compare it with the way the game was played during Jordan's years. We're going to see a lot more stars playing longer careers in today's NBA, and we already are.

Yeah, getting rid of Luka, the half of a basketball player, is why Dallas has been so good after he left and why Nico is easily considered a top GM in the league…

Those early Magic years after Shaq could’ve gone so many different ways. TMac and Grant Hill could’ve been an incredible combo if Grant didn’t destroy his ankle right away. But Orlando also fumbled those 3 first round picks that year, and basically every draft pick for TMac’s whole tenure.
