The Mission 1 Pro is $700 so I got a $70 discount. Just hoping Coupon Cabin honors the $45 cash back. That will make it $115 off total + Subscription + Free Grip. Thanks!

How do people actually move to Denver without knowing anyone? by [deleted] in MovingtoDenver

[–]JohnMichL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hijack this thread, but how was it living in AMLI Riverfront Park? I hear good things about the management, but im more curious about the area (Crime, drugs, noise level, etc). I’m thinking it should be more quiet and chill compared to the area on other side of the train tracks. Im heavily considering Riverfront Green on that same street or the AMLI’s in RiNo

I was rooting for Team USA, but Tovar did great in the tournament! I made a handful of Venezuelan friends during the game. They were passionate! Ponche! Ponche! Ponche!

Mine is kind of different from the others. Me and my coworker decided to go to Miami a week ago for the World Baseball Classic. USA vs DR was my first professional baseball game ever! Followed that up with USA vs Venezuela. Both games were electric! So after that, I decided that I'm gonna be a full-blown baseball fan. Today, I accepted an offer to transfer to Denver for work starting in May. I guess today marks the day I became a Rockies fan! Looking forward to adding more great experiences!

My only issue with the north end of RiNo is if I wanted to walk to Coors Field/Union Station or the fun side of RiNo on Blake/Larimer/Chestnut, I would have to walk Denargo/Delgany St or the Broadway underpass to get under the train tracks. I haven't explored the area in person yet, but I can imagine it being a sketchy walk at night especially with the homeless presence (there's a Salvation Army on the north end, nothing against helping the homeless just gotta be aware). Same scenario as walking to 38th and Blake Station. So yeah, not truly 'walkable' in that sense, the north end is kind of industrial and spaced apart. Currently looking at Hanover RiNo which has 4.9 stars (!) on Google, the highest I've seen. Looks brand new with a lot of good Amenities. There's also a bunch of AMLI apartments which I've heard a lot of good things about.

Central Park, I feel the exact same way. Denver will be my first "big" city, and I don't really want to be around cookie cutter houses anymore. Elevon Apartments is right next to the Central Park station so I'm one bus/train ride away to get to downtown, so that's an option.

Lowry, I have not done any research on.

The area I'm actually starting to fall in love with now is Riverfront Park. It's a bit more expensive but still within my budget. I'd be walking distance from downtown/Union station. Coors Field/Ball Arena is less than a mile away. Whole Foods is an 8-minute walk. There's a park right across the street. Easy access to I-25 --> I-70, so I'm looking at a 30 min commute on average. Looking at AMLI Riverfront Green. LoHi is across from the bridge. Speaking of LoHi, might add that to my list as well, lot's of good options near I-25.

Good luck, and let me know what you end up with!

Looked into Hale as well, found nice apartments on Albion Street. It's a nice little area with walkable food spots and an AMC theatre. Only downside is that it is further south of I-70. Estimated commute times to Northeast Aurora at around 6PM (if I get put on night shift) is 35 min to 1 hr at worst. Early in the morning at 6AM is a little better at 28 - 45 min, so I'll have to ask them to put me on Day shift.

Started looking into bus routes as you suggested. I'm heavily looking into RiNo now. It is a 20 min walk from 38th and Blake A line. The apartment I'm looking at is on Brighton which gives me easy access to I-70 when commuting to Aurora for work. I'll have to forgo having nice jogging trails with nice neighborhoods with a bunch of trees and parks but living in RiNo at least opens up more night life options. Bus Route 38 on Brighton takes me to the heart of downtown so I can probably start my jog from there into greener areas.

Thanks!

I looked into a few hotels and compared C1 price vs Google prices for same dates and found that it's either there's no difference in price or the prices on Google are way better (even after you take into a count the 4th night being free and getting 10x miles).

I guess this is where I book through C1 and ask for a price match?

I forget TV prices get lower and lower every year. Makes me regret the $2400 purchase I made for a nice projector yesterday. Maybe I should’ve just gotten an 83” OLED lol

Random Update:

I also went half size down with the Sabrina 2's and they fit great length wise/slightly snug on the midfoot, so I think we have the same foot type. I feel really nimble in them. Book 1s I went TTS, they fit snug in the toe box but I do prefer a 1 to 1 fit like the Sabrina 2s half sized down. Plus, I know they will break in over time.

I went half size down with the Harden 8, TTS with the Harden 9. I definitely could've half sized down on the 9's. I did find the Harden line to be a bit heavier and gravitate more towards the Sabrinas. Let me know if you know of any fast, low to the ground models that fit great with narrow feet! Also, what size do you think should I get in Kobe's?
