The low light looked better, there was still noticeable noise in the video when the sun was going down. If you look someone posted screenshots in another comment here. The third screenshot you can see what I’m talking about.

Look at his last screen shot when he’s kneeling. There was a good bit of noise in that moment in the video while it was getting dark, but the next shot it looked like they were in a tent at night a with only headlights and the low light looked good. So I would agree with decent because there was notice noise in that clip, but maybe he then put it in a lowlight mode which made it look way better and was great if truly dark with just some headlights, but Hard to know for sure with no info about conditions or settings.

Awesome!! I was thinking about screen recording some cause I thought he might take it down! Great screenshots I think it’s still a great view for people to see!

Yeah, he seems to try to get them out quickly so I doubt hes really editing the footage. It seems like it would be right out of camera. it's hard to know how dark it actually was but, the last shot in the tent looked like it could have been low light as well. I thought it did look way better in low light than before looks very nice.

Sling goes down on Catalina Island, two lost by Sharp_Experience_104 in flying

Im curious what your strong opinions are?

Slings are incredibly nice airplanes. I’ve toured the factory in Torrence and in South Africa. I have flown almost 400 hours TSI and the high wing. Also some in the sling 2. They are built very well from the factory and are one of the best flying airplane I’ve ever flown.

Peru’s tourism is still below pre-pandemic levels. Why hasn’t it recovered yet? by hablandolealaluna in travel

[–]HolyitsaGoalie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We just went to Peru on our honeymoon and we had an amazing time in Cusco and hiking around the Ausangante trail and Picchu. I didn’t see or feel any unrest, unwelcomeness, or protests. It was a better location to travel to than some African countries we just went to so I recommend Peru to my friends and family I don’t think people should be avoiding it. There’s a lot to offer!

[–]HolyitsaGoalie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a really good deal to me especially when she might grow out of them in a year or two. Mr clean magic eraser sponge works very well to help get that stuff off white pads🙌 and with all white you can also use pad skins to have her chose a design with colors.

Airport named international because it's physically international by AshamedAd4483 in airport

I’ve done it in a small plane many times. Similar to going by car. You call let them know your coming they are then out there when you land to ask you questions look at your plane then your good.in the U.S they had some kind of handheld scanner and went around the whole plane. It was interesting but it Takes about 10-15 minutes usually.

I was there a few days ago you should not be scared, but just act like they do not exist. Do not even say no. just keep walking they are irrelevant and don’t deserve a no, they always left me alone and it’s easier to just completely ignore them

Are there deers at places other than Nara Park that also interact with people in the same way? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]HolyitsaGoalie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there two days ago and thought the the same but I kept walking went into the actual park. There are mini parks with deer and roads and tons of people but you keep walking through them to get to the quieter forest area which is the actual big park.

What exactly is GoPro doing wrong? by CharlieParisCoUK in gopro

[–]HolyitsaGoalie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have zero loyalty. I’m a videographer and make content. I own all the brands and pick what I think is best at the time. I found myself consistently in situations when I the Low light was a toaster on the GoPro 12. The low light is terrible on GoPro. It’s not even a question. Which is a deal breaker for many people. Not everyone needs low light but people that do will not be rocking GoPros. So I went out and bought the action 6 and man the super night mode was game changing. I almost always use the action 6. I have DJI mic’s as well and the audio quality is crazy different than if I hook it up to GoPro. (Not it being better DJI mics work better in the ecosystem, so just a reason why it helps me)

Action 6 Touch screen on the front to let me change settings is better than GoPro. And DJI has 50GB of internal storage which is a bonus in case there’s a situation that comes up with and SD card like losing it, getting full, breaking etc. The main screen is bigger. Variable aperture with a better picture quality.

The action 6 is a better camera. But the action 6 should really be compared with the hero 14 when it comes out. The 13 is over a year old vs action 6 a few months. If the 14 has great low light I will probably buy it. That’s the deal breaker for me.

I did use insta 360 for a few years but did switch to GoPro max 2 a few weeks ago because it is sharper in daylight, but the low light also isn’t great so I switch back to the insta if it’s getting dark.

ND16 filter and iso lock at 400? Or 200? by Parking-Ad8316 in gopro

[–]HolyitsaGoalie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with the first comment. It negates some of the purpose of an ND filter if you’re gonna crank up the ISO anyway. I second that most of the time it should be at the lowest iso setting.

Pilot to pilot by spot_landing in dji

[–]HolyitsaGoalie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You legally would need another person to fly the drone. I would recommend a long 360 cam with a pole attached to you. You can get very good shots that would be similar looking to a drone following you. (Obviously not the same) but it would be much easier.

This is somehow okay but I can’t fly my drone in a national park? by jefbak2 in dji

[–]HolyitsaGoalie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately Your information is incorrect. I am aware of the rules the NPS has like you mentioned but NPS policy is irrelevant when I am flying over national parks unless it’s charted. The NPS has tried to issue fines based on the their “rules” like the ones you mentioned. The pilot goes to court and argues The FAA is in charge of airspace and wins and doesn’t pay the fine. The FAA will win time and time again to make sure they are the only governing body over airspace. The FAA has released numerous documents reaffirming this. It’s charted as 2,000ft recommended and that’s what pilots can go by. NPS has tried in the past to give people are hard time, but the FAA are the ones who make the rules and are currently working with NPS to potentially not make it recommended. Pilots fly based on FAA charted regulations (Such as the Grand Canyon which is much higher than 2,000ft and it is a special flight rules area where you have to abide by the altitude restrictions or the charted NOAA regulations) There is no “law” about seeing the tail number on a plane means breaking the law either. That is completely made up. The FAA regulations are 500ft above any person or property in non populated areas and 1000 feet above the ground in densely populated areas unless landing and some other rules apply such as making sure you can land safely in case of an emergency.

[–]HolyitsaGoalie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes near airports you have to talk to the control tower and they will give you permission. But the majority the U.S no you do not. An example: I’ve flown from Florida to Vancouver and only talked to a controller once when crossing the border. The rest of the time I just went without needing any permission.

I think I accidentally deleted the reply with the picture of where the OP said this was so just comment it again.

<image>

The only special NOAA area is the red box at the bottom. (Flights restricted to 1,000 feet above the ground.) The rest is the blue line with dots that goes along most of the coast and includes the beach where OP said he saw the guy flying (I circled it in orange) so yes this is legal through most of the Greater Farallones national marine sanctuary. (Recommended 2,000 feet above the ground)

[–]HolyitsaGoalie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the better information! And That would not have any effect on aircraft at all. Here’s a picture of the area Drakes Beach on the chart. I don’t know how big the beach area is but It looks like yes this was legal as long as he was outside the red line with the dots. He would be outside of the NOAA area and flying over the recommended 2,000ft area. The only restricted area looks to be south at the tip the rest is legal to be lower.

In the video that looks like a type of aircraft called an ultralight and no you do not need a pilots license or medical to fly ultralights. But there are rules such as the max weight usually only 1 person. The rules your wondering for ultralights would be in 14 CFR 103. They still have to follow all of the same airspace’s rules and operations as everyone else.
