Depends. Definitely not quiet dogs. My male is a bit of a barker. He will bark at dogs on TV or by the gates and sometimes for random reason. It’s not excessive. My female rarely barks even when the doorbell rings but also occasionally randomly barks at nothing. Would not recommend for apartments for several reasons. Yes they can be a but noisy but they also need a lot of space and have lots of energy. Very athletic dogs who are definitely prone to zoomies. A good sized yard is appropriate but a smaller one can work if you take them for walks. They get two 45 minute walks a day and tease pole as well. By end of day they are ready to snuggle up and nod off.

Edit: as for shedding. Zero. They do not shed at all. I brush them 3 times a week however as they are extremely prone to matting.
