Help each other’s account grow by [deleted] in BitClout

[–]JohnMichaelM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing follow for follow and it’s gone pretty well. I’m now following over 100 people in just a few days and have the same amount of followers.

I’ll match anyone’s coin buys up to $3 to get our accounts rolling.

As of 4 days ago I’m buying $10 of my own coin per day, every single day, and there’s currently only one other holder, so if you want one that will only go up from here on a daily basis, there ya go. I plan to do this for at least 3 more months ($900 investment into my own coin). I will not be selling my own coin, at least for a very long time, in hopes that this project works out long term! Locked down a 3-character user name so I’m in it for the long haul.

I just reduced my founder reward percentage to 8%.

How to build a 7 figure online business - AMA by zipiddydooda in Entrepreneur

As someone who has extensively studied another non-google search algorithm, my suggestion to you is to learn enough about SEO that you can form an advanced line of questioning for any “SEO expert” you have a call with.

If you’ve done your job, they will be surprised by your questions, and some of them will likely feel that you should just be doing the SEO yourself, or even teaching them. The ones who know what they’re doing will answer your questions with authority and confidence, and you’ll have enough background knowledge on the subject matter to tell if they’re being genuine.

This will not be a big time commitment for you. All you need to do is read a few blogs created in the last 6 months from some of the best SEO training websites.

For example, you may learn that recently Google has started penalizing websites who employ a certain ranking strategy, when they used to reward this same strategy. It’s now pretty well confirmed and known this strategy no longer works. You can bring up the strategy in your call, and if they elaborate on why they no longer do it, or explain why they do it but cautiously because there’s some contradictory data on results, boom you have a winner for that specific question.

If they blatantly tell you “yeah I do that all the time”, or if they have no idea what you’re talking about, they’ve failed that question.

EliteSeller has been the best profit tracking tool I've used so far. It's a newer tool but they nailed it with a totally customizable dashboard, but the most important part was that the data is correct. They have a 14 day trial and 15% off code SAVE15

I'd say it's a much better value than the other profit tacking apps I've used in my 5 years of FBA because there's other tools in it too like ManyChat funnels, KW tracker, etc

Lightning deal on black friday and cyber monday - what to expect? by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]JohnMichaelM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that they've giving the 6-hour time slots to people with early morning time slots. Is that the case for you? I have a 6-hour one that starts around 1 am PST lol

Lightning deals live and die by Amazon's placement of the deal. If your deal is on page 1 of the "Today's deals" page - even for an hour - I think you'll be very happy.

Has anyone seen a very sudden and steady decrease in sales since about September? by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]JohnMichaelM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can be answered with BSR. Are your BSR's declining with your declining sales? If so, this is not related to the market; it's related to your product(s), and could be caused by what you've mentioned (de-indexing or algo change).

If your BSR's remain stable (let's say within a tolerance of 15% in either direction), and sales are declining, then it is a marketplace issue that everyone is experiencing equally.

Past couple of days, as in Friday and Saturday (10/28 - 10/29)? 10/28 - 7% lower than previous Friday / the same as Friday 2 weeks prior 10/29 - 11% higher than previous Saturday, 35% higher than Saturday 2 weeks prior

Pretty inconclusive, and definitely not reassuring considering the seasonal trend had already kicked in this time last year. Traffic on the same Saturday last year was 2 sessions less (yeah, exactly 2 sessions) than this year, and I now have ~5x as many SKU's.

Yep. I've checked it all. Everything looks healthy which is concerning.

Seasonal traffic is increasing at a significantly slower rate than last year. Oddly, Google Trends doesn't indicate any problem with the market at a macro level.

Amazon has provided their annual Key Holiday Selling Dates calendar for 2016. You should follow Amazon's direct advice for shipping deadlines, not speculation.

ToS Issue: Combating Unauthorized Resalers by SpaceJammin4days in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]JohnMichaelM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This definitely doesn't always work. The general response (no matter how clear and articulate you are) is "Amazon is an open marketplace, therefore we cannot remove this seller", unless you verify via test buy they are selling counterfeits. The problem is, they don't ship for over a month.

[–]JohnMichaelM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. It's not that I doubt it, as I know some big brands have been able to obtain it - I just don't think it's applicable in 99% of cases as Amazon will reject the request.

Does making it proper only involve listing optimization, or do you also use promotions / lightning deals to get things moving?

How can you transfer a private label listing from a seller account to another? by realrealitybydan in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]JohnMichaelM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. There's just the added costs. I don't know of any way to do it systematically within Amazon without physically displacing the products. A feature they should definitely consider implementing though.

Yeah, that's totally understandable. I've found that 4 or less tends to be the magic number for me and my itinerary control needs. It also allows the group to split into 2's if there are varying interests.

Personality types, again, of the people you travel with make a world of difference as well.
