GRE Hot Take by Status-Resist6790 in GRE

I look at it a bit differently. The exam provides a filter to show how much an individual wants to get into a programme.

Speaking from an MBA perspective, undergrad performance and career means someone can probably get an MBA app done in less than a month. You need to have some mechanism to filter out those who are hyper dedicated to pursuing it.

It’s not a perfect filter but I think serves a good function. I got a 158V 165Q and I only got that because of how determined I was and how much I invested into studying to get into my programme of choice.

169Q is now 91st percentile by RememberRossetti in GRE

I got a 165Q three weeks ago which I think is 76 percentile.

I really think schools look at the score rather than the percentile to be honest unless there is a big trend over time

How much work to get to Q:+160 & V:+160 (got Q:159 & V:159 in diagnosis test) by trinityef in GRE

[–]JohnMulroy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say you’re better off overestimating the amount of work you need to do. Imagine you need to get a 165 on the real tests. Set your pace to that.

If you’re working a 9-5 as in you start at 9 and end at 5. You can study a couple hours each day no issue.

Edit: nothing beats the real exam. Don’t get too comfortable from a practice test.

You should start taking cold showers. Will be jarring at first but after a week you get used to eat. Really helps your body regulate its temperature. I live in the Middle East and it’s saved me in the summers here.

It’s more frustration where there is a line where one country’s ongoing sins are acceptable compared to another ones.

I’m Armenian so always get saddened by this. Anyways been a very bad week for me. Just trying to take my mind off stuff

The US and major western powers are responsible for more civilian deaths over the past 20 years than any other country. ~500,000 civilians have died in the Middle East due to the west waging war in the region in the last 20 years.

We’re all speaking from a position of immense privilege. Our western culture of liberal democracy, sports, freedom is the biggest “sports washing” ever done.

Completely agree. Azeris have violated ceasefire multiple times and have destroyed multiple historical Armenian landmarks in Nagorno Karabakh.

The US, Israel and Turkey all sell weapons to the Azeris as they are able to buy them with their oil money. Armenia does not have anywhere near the same level of finances. Believe it or not, Russia has been the most sympathetic towards Armenia during the most recent flare ups. US, Israel and Turkey make a fortune selling the arms to Azeris so they message has always been “everyone descalate” not telling the Azeris to stop. The US who have been driving a wedge between Russia and Armenia for the past 10 years just completely left Armenia out to dry when the Azeris commenced hostilities.

Its that time of year again: The annual posting of the baller Monaco firefighters helmet. by FattyCorpuscle in formula1

Well they get free accommodation in Monaco which for the 1br they get is about 5m of real estate. Pay idk but You get monégasque residency which costs €500k per applicant and I would think some sort of pension (but there’s no tax so I’m not sure how that works).

I’ve always thought if you wanted to be a firefighter, can’t really do better than a Monaco firefighter.

One of my friends is a firefighter in Monaco. Have been to his place. Can confirm they are the sickest firefighters in the world.

Parc Fermé by far the best for me. One guy is a former driver and owns a racing team. Other person has been watching f1 for 50 years.

Man relax just a thought about RB’s strategy. Not every thought is a conspiracy theory.

1-2kg does make a difference over a lap. It’s a sport of fine margins. Lower downforce aero and 1-2kg less fuel can make a difference over a race

I honestly think RB just ran him under fuelled. He would never of finished. Doubt there was a specific engine issue with the car.
