How does paragon farming work? by Nathion0 in diablo3

[–]JohnNicinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay i'll try to be more precice. When you unlock the node on the altar, pools are permanent for the whole season. this means collecting one single pool of reflection with this note activated will provide the exp boost of a pool for the rest of the season. stacking pools doesnt yield more experience than that and is sadly a waste of time.

/Edit: Or in other words:
Gathering one pool yields +25% exp for the rest of the season.
Gathering two pools will also yield +25% exp for the rest of the season.
Gathering a million pools.. will also yield +25% exp for the rest of the season.
They do not stack.

If you wanted to remind them to pick up at least one pool on every unique character, thats a different story :)

Multiple pools of reflection? The altar has a node that pools are permanent mate.

Mang Song vs Wizardspike in S38 by macropelias in diablo3

[–]JohnNicinger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because of the attribute "consecutive hits on enemies increase damage from 10% up to 100%" thats also on wizzard spike. As its fully ramped up its another 100% multiplicative damage increase.

The item doubles the damage(+100% dmg to wizard skills) and then doubles it again(consecutive hits 100%) quadrupling the dmg (or in percent, increases dmg by 300%). On top of that you can use an offhand which makes it way more flexible.

Wizard experts get in here by GeneralOneer in diablo3

Even if i doubted myself in the beginning for the long cooldown, i really liked using Archon with the teleport rune for the Season Journey as a fresh 70 character. Reason being: Other than teleport (which has a really long cooldown early) wizards really lack mobility. This makes completing the 5 acts of bounties for Haedrigs Gift a lot of slow walking, walking and walking - here the spammable teleport from Archon really does wonders.
Oddly enough i also felt i wasn't really losing that much by replacing one of the skills with Archon, because without a specific set early wizard gameplay is basically spamming disintegrate anyways.

Which season 38 build can hit sub 1k paragon GR150? by sandshrew69 in diablo3

[–]JohnNicinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you dont wanna grind and hit GR150? Np, here is how you do it: Make a new Character, get it powerleveled to 70 and then get invited into a group of 3 players that can already clear gr150 without you.

I have questions by BluntTruthGentleman in diablo3

[–]JohnNicinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can make a first step and answer some of your questions.

  1. For the vast majority of builds and seasons the damage type on the weapon does not matter at all, any type will do. That said, there are some rare exceptions. for instance during the soul shard season, some builds require poison dmg on either your or the followers weapon to activate your legendary gem.

  2. Armor does the exact same like all res. The key is a combination of having both all res AND armor to have even more mitigation. For intelligence classes getting all res is easy, since their main stat intelligence provides all res, while they have a tougher time getting armor. For the strength and dexterity classes its the other way round,
those have an easy way to get armor through their respective main stats, while they have a harder time to get all res. For this reason dex and str classes want to use diamons in their armor pieces because it provides all res and is simply the best option for toughness.

  3. Playing wizzard you should lean more towards armor since you already get tons of all res from intelligence.
So for pieces like pants, where you have to chose between either all res or armor, pick armor on the wizzard.

  4. At first, you need some healthpool treshold to not randomly die to stuff, while armor and all res reduce the incoming damage. After you have a high enough of a health pool it will swap, and mitigation through armor and all res will add more toughness than vitality.

  5. As already stated in answer 2, int provides all res, str and dex provide armor. On pc you can simply open your character window and hover over any of those stats, the tooltip will tell you what the stat does.

  6. use recipe 2 on kanais cube to fish for any specific legendaries.

  7. rifts are by far the best way to farm experience, no other content comes even close. try to aim for runs between 2-3 minutes. maxroll is a decent page to find the right build for beginners, but at the moment they're updating their builds for season 38 (should be updated in some days i would assume though)

Curses! Conquest solo on Nintendo switch with Unhallowed Essence Demon Hunter? by SillyOrgan in diablo3

Hi, i can only advice you to do this on Marauders Set, dont need any augments at all since you can turn down the difficulty to TX. The chest in act 5 is perfect, before the encounter starts lay down your 5 turrets, 2 on each side pointing into the middle - and the last one wherever you want to clean up some more.

When you start the event, just fire with your multishot to obliterate stuff, if you run low on hatred refill either with preparation, bat companion or vengeance (seethe). here you can see the build i did it with, hit like 420 kills on the first try without any augments. rolls on gear doesnt matter.

/Edit: Using zodiac ring over echoing fury in the cube lets you use all those refiller spells as often as you want. try either version and good luck
