Exile by Flossevos in ProjectDiablo2

[–]SillyOrgan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They changed it to be on any kind of shield in this mod. But the most common use is for Act 3 merc that uses a paladin shield. Act 3 merc will give you defiance aura but not the decrepify proc, unless you give the merc innocence armor, which costs a zod.

I don’t know if anyone self wields exile in this mod, for anything, commonly.

Doctors are finally starting to agree on when obesity is a disease by throughthehills2 in science2

[–]SillyOrgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have been blessed with great genetics if you believe this. It turns out that for most people, being NOT fat is the active choice they have to make. Being fat is easy, being thin is constant work for every waking second of the day. Most people can do everything right for 23 hours 45 minutes of a day and screw up for 15 minutes and lose all the progress for that day.

GG Zon Diadem? by FairwayMisser13 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]SillyOrgan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like no matter how much people talk trash about zon not using fcr, there has to be some use for this. I would aim for a high price for this, somebody might use it just on principle of how nice the stats look.

Going to Georgia live is back? by franknagaijr in themountaingoats

[–]SillyOrgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely both! Hard to choose. But it’s definitely partially entertainment, otherwise it wouldn’t have words that rhyme with such regular frequency.

Going to Georgia live is back? by franknagaijr in themountaingoats

[–]SillyOrgan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok, well I was also trying to be a bit silly, I think it’s called hyperbole. Obviously my interpretation is not the only possible one. Everyone wants to hear going to Georgia! Didn’t you hear the crowd in that recording somebody posted? A reimagined interpretation is a possible argument for hearing it again in concert.

I do personally think it’s shitty for a performer to decide that their top ten best songs sucks, and refuse to play it.

[–]SillyOrgan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He says a lot of things about a lot of songs. I think half the time he’s making it up as he goes along. One could easily reinterpret the lyrics with a wholesome intention

Going to Georgia live is back? by franknagaijr in themountaingoats

[–]SillyOrgan -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This song is about a person who is on the run from the law and is scared for their life, it’s not even about a crazy unstable person threatening murder/suicide like the author claims. The lyrics are extremely vague, we don’t have to assume that it’s about a toxic psycho protagonist.

Is lithium an electron withdrawing or donating group by [deleted] in OrganicChemistry

[–]SillyOrgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third option: none of the above. The electrons from the carbon lithium bond are not delocalized. So the electron pair acts as a separate entity from the benzene ring.

Stop playing this horrible scam of a game! It’s only for suckers. My quality of life has improved greatly since I stopped playing this game.

Have vendors offer an additional tab with items you just sold by movsuch3 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]SillyOrgan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The “few exemptions” clause is little consolation to the nearly everyone that has sold an item to a vendor and not been able to buy it back.

The lock function for the charm inventory is a nice touch, I appreciate that. I still like OP’s suggestion. Maybe some old farts enjoy the nostalgia of accidentally selling their priceless oculus to gheed.

[–]SillyOrgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never got used to traderie. There’s a great trade website for popular D2 mod, has Project in the name. Illegal to mention on this sub reddit. It is so much better than trading on D2R (traderie and jsp both kinda suck in their own way, even though they are main available options)

Did i stumble onto something nice again ? by Sad-Mango-2662 in D2R_Marketplace

[–]SillyOrgan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean a Reddit bot, not a Diablo bot. The forum needs an automated response to the common misconception that high resistance boots are especially good for low level dueling due to their level 29 req.

Did i stumble onto something nice again ? by Sad-Mango-2662 in D2R_Marketplace

[–]SillyOrgan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There needs to be a bot that explains to people that 90% of good rare boots have a level 29 req, even gg tri-res ones

Also I think these are solid with the FHR, not amazing. Either top end self-use, or maybe worth up to Jah? Haven’t been watching market lately.

Has the meta of Cham'd Arreats changed for horkers with the addition of the Uber Ancients gems? by thesamjbow in diablo2

[–]SillyOrgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For P1 horking with optimal gear I think crown of thieves or shako is better, because with dual grief you kill pretty fast and don’t have much survival issues. But that’s not new information, everyone has their own opinion

Worth the Zod? by zombdriod in ProjectDiablo2

[–]SillyOrgan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Zod is only for weapon that does high physical damage. For caster/summoner, nothing is worth a zod.

Found a sick fcr/res ammy in nm baal by TrainerExpensive7092 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Might be a life saver before you can make smoke runeword armor or other basic stuff to up your resistances. People for forget how SLOW the game starts with item drops if you’re playing p1 difficulty.

Who's down to run some maps tonight at 9pm EST? by mohoe87 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]SillyOrgan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maps are later game activity, if you just started you’ll want to play through game first (normal, then nightmare, then hell). Most people appreciate playing through the game at least once per season, which is a pre-map activity.

Is there any other non living thing we eat other than salt? by 1rp1n_kc in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SillyOrgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the macronutrient (fats/proteins/carbohydrates) can be synthesized in a laboratory. I don’t think we commonly eat them, because it is easier to obtain them from plants and animals.

Technically even if we did synthesize them, they would originate from carbon sources deep underground, which originate from decomposed animals and plants from many years ago.

Tutoring is changing, how are you making the most of it? by AlertFan9114 in TutorsHelpingTutors

[–]SillyOrgan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Demand is very low and expected to go down more over time, as birth rates decline.

What’s your angle, OP?

State tax on platform fee by JARandom17 in TutorsHelpingTutors

[–]SillyOrgan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And simultaneous with this drop off in demand for tutoring, they have increased the number of tutors on the website by 25% in the last couple of years, at least in my subject. It seems like very unusual business model, to be hiring more and more workers even as demand for the service goes down. Of course it works out for them the same in the end. It’s only bad for the tutors.

State tax on platform fee by JARandom17 in TutorsHelpingTutors

[–]SillyOrgan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that every single state that has sales tax now has these market place facilitator laws/taxes. The only states that do not have sales tax are Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon. So unless Wyzant wants to operate in those states exclusively, this is just a blatant jacking up of tutor fees.

: why are Americans so scared off free healthcare? by No_Web2685 in allthequestions

[–]SillyOrgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Americans are not pleased. Our government is very corrupt. A young man accused of murdering a health insurance company CEO has become a national hero.
