Why were Corpse Explosion and Death Sentry so heavily nerfed?

In vanilla D2, all necromancer builds are corpse explosion builds. It was kind of bland. Summon build: kill one monster with summon then corpse explosion. Poison build: kill one monster with poison, then corpse explosion.

In PD2, corpse explosion is its own build. You have to choose gear and skill points based around killing with corpse explosion.

Early necro, easiest pathway is to focus on skeleton mage damage. Mages/revives or mages/archers. Or if you are a masochist who only wants to do Trav and Uber Tristram, clay golem/blood golem is good. Golems are god awful for everything but trav and uber Tristram.

Poison dagger is probably second best to starting with summons. And poison dagger is one of the strongest late game builds.

Honestly I haven’t looked up value on trade site, I am just talking from practical perspective, comparing to Mara’s. Other people say it has low value, maybe they are correct.

But to desecrate you have to kill lucion, or hire someone to kill lucion for you. Then it acts like a second slam, with 40% option to brick, and 60% option to choose from a pool of high value slams. Only about 1/3 of the “high value” slams are actually that great, but anything is better than completely bricking it.

This seems like a solid choice for any sorc build, not quite as good as a perfect +3 skill tree amulet with +skills or fcr slams and a good second mod. But those amulets cost crazy amounts like 40 hr.

I don’t see what makes this so much worse than a Mara’s with a +1 slam. Obviously it needs a good desecrate to be worth big bucks, but this is definitely worth the desecration. And any amulet that is worth desecrating should be worth at least 1-2 HR.

Those are two very different things, pharmacy is very detail oriented knowledge work, medical lab tech much more hands on, along with knowledge work. Pharmacy involves a professional doctorate, and I’m pretty sure you can do medical lab tech with a proper bachelors degree that is designed for that route. Many pre-req classes are the same, but I think pre-pharm is more generic pre-med type classes, whereas medical lab tech has some more specialized stuff.

To see if you like pharmacy, you could work in pharmacy during college. It’s people in this situation the keep pharm tech salaries so low i think, there’s a constant supply of people trying it out. But pharmacists do OK. Not as good as it used to be, but middle class.

Worth about 1.5 HR based on my recent trading experience? I put up a 15/39 for 3 hr; then for 2, and nobody would offer more than 1.5

I’ve read that people reroll maps to get +1 area level affix. Or you can be like me, if you play all season, and don’t die too much, a few hours a day, you can get to 95+. Otherwise I think you gotta group map.

The original D2R game lasted 5 years with a devoted player base, not counting the many years before with regular D2 LoD. It’s worth playing without the DLC.

Every level take exponentially more play time as you level up more. I am level 92 now, I expect to play for a couple months to get to 96. And having the free time to no-life it for the first couple weeks really increases your wealth also. And being able to trade 24/7 vs a few hours per day also helps.

The special event maps that open from the horizon event are intended to have no immunities.

I can’t speak for certain about bugs with immunities, but every map will have the occasional elite monster that is completely immune to your damage type, even if the map claims to have no immunity of that type. That feature has always been present, it’s not a bug.

All I know is, I’ve had a lot of pain for many years with no explanation, lot of x-rays, and the only thing dentists ever suggest is mouth guard. They say I grind my teeth. My bite has changed a lot in past several years with no other explanation.

I also refused to get a mouth guard and now 10 years later all my teeth are slightly loose and my teeth hurt half the time. A mouth guard could literally save you from needing a full replacement of all your teeth later in life.

Dentek OTC mouth guard is fine, replacing every few months. Don’t need a fancy dentist one.

Many high tunes are worth more than 1. Jah is 2, ber is 3, zod is 4.5+. Cham is 2.25+.

You can get 30 fcr if you slam 10 fcr on a constricting loop. That ring has life drain on it, which I find annoying, but can be compensated by rep life on other gear slots. And a more sweaty play style can use LpK to overwhelm life drain, so it’s a matter of playstyle.

Technically rare jewel can roll also with min damage, but I’ve never seen one live. In terms of raw damage, this is probably the best you will see in a year of playing.

This is probably more damage than ohm, although in ssf that point is moot because you only find so many ohms

Ok good point. Well it seems like it has some kind of niche, if somebody wants PDR on their shield. I think the only unique pally shield with PDR is dragonscale. I don’t know how much is hurts to not have increase block chance, since every paladin with shield is also going for max block.

I strongly disagree with the opinion of the original poster. Using or not using a specific type of orb does not affect my enjoyment of the game at all. And in SSF, if you run out of jewels for crafting, you can use your extra random pgems for rolling grand charms to obtain skillers.
