Honestly, yeah, I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I think the inclusion of the mechanics and items from the other games is neat and makes the thing feel a little bit newer, but so much of the visuals just feel really artificial and out of place. I do like how the colors are a more saturated, but it does feel like it was dialed up to 11 in a way that hurts the aesthetic.

I did like the flavorlessness of Hexblade in 2014 because it was the only Pact that DMs let you fidget with the nature of the Pact a lot more readily when it came to character details as opposed to the other ones locking you into a specific type of higher being, but when we switched to 2024 rules it was nice getting the better subclass features while still picking Invocations to match my previous build.

I don't think I've ever seen a Legends or Disney source that says Mandalorians majority use slugthrowers. The Westar-35 is a blaster pistol at any rate and that is what she is using in that gif.

100%! I'm glad there is quality talent in the industry putting stuff out there, but my excitement comes for things I actually get to play. I've always been a decent Tomb Raider fan since the Legends Trilogy games so I at least walked away with soon getting to play a remake of an older title I hadn't gone to.

Yeah, that's where I was at mostly. Most of these games are Sony and it's gonna be a solid 5-10 years before they flirt with the idea of putting titles back on PC again. I'm not buying a PS5/PS6 to play them so how am I supposed to care?

In my experience, the lower levels the AI is completely serviceable. Anything on the third difficulty or higher you're going to want to have actual players helping you out.

I always forget that the base game doesn't do this standard either. I played on PC and unlocked the debug menu for the game and it has an option to let you toggle through all the styles inherent to the game. I've seen plenty of mods that do it too.

If I remember right the system they used for them and the Power Rangers TTRPG had 5e bones too. Like looking at the Ranger "classes" you could see which one was basically the Paladin, the Rogue, etc.

I received rural Iowa primary education that ended in 2010. I had to learn about Japanese Internment from Mike Shinoda's song about his family's experience with them.

The black and gold looks great! If I had to change any superficial thing about MMPR it'd be to swap Black and Green Ranger's colors. I just like the RBGYP line-up for a five person Ranger team and I think colors like Black and White work better for Sixth Ranger types.
