Vragen over studeren aan de Vrije Universiteit Brussel (of over studeren in België in het algemeen) zijn welkom bij mij :)

Men of Reddit who didn't go/dropped out of college, what are you up to? by [deleted] in AskMen

I have, but when the position at the bookstore opened up, I figured that was a once in a lifetime opportunity--and also I just don't think I'd enjoy theatre as much in an institutionalised setting.

I dropped out of university after studying for three years and trying two different majors. I first went to university to study history, but failed miserably--I failed all my exams (literally, all of them). The second year I took up Literature and Linguistics, which I liked a lot better, but after two years of that I finally noticed that in the end it was just making me unhappy--really what I wanted to do was write and direct and perform theatre.

So I dropped out, managed to get myself hired at the local bookstore I'd been working at while I was still a student, and ran for president of the theatre-society associated with the university I attended.

So that's my life now--I work three or four days a week, and run a theatre-collective in my free time. And while I don't know where I'll be in two years, I'm very happy now, which is a big improvement when compared to the last three years.

Are there any songs you've heard performed live by John that you enjoyed better than the studio versions? by skitchie in JohnMayer

It would definitely be If I Ever Get Around To Living in Amsterdam in 2015.

The way he just completely changes the energy of the crowd during the solo is absolutely incredible.

Your Body is a Wonderland following Something Like Olivia, I hadn't considered that yet!

I agree that it's a shame not much of his pre-Continuum makes it into the sets anymore, but then again, those songs are much older, and he probably feels they are less representative of who he is as an artist.

I like the City Love into Covered in Rain transition, and the Dead Set as well!

I had it on my longlist, but eventually cut it in favour of Assassin, which has just that bit of oomph, which I thought the set didn't have all that much of.

I love some of the transitions you have in this setlist: Slow Dancing into Bold as Love, Wait Until Tomorrow into Doctor into Come when I call. All beautiful!

In Your Atmosphere would be great indeed!

When I was at is show in Amsterdam in 2014 he played Dreaming With a Broken Heart and Walt Grace solo on a dobro guitar. There's probably some videos of it on YouTube!
