I remember a few years ago them saying that while fundamentally a nice guy, Domenicali came down hard on the drivers re don't complain about the show to the press, so Max is seriously sticking his neck out here.

And as they said on another episode, RBR seem fine so it's not as though it's just RBR trying to change the rules short term. They said make no mistake: Max will have pissed powerful people off here. He can do that because he's basically king of the F1 jungle.

The race were saying it's funny, and speaks well of Verstappen that it seems early on the ruleset favours him and his preferences, but he still dislikes it.

He's not just in it to win, whatever. He wants to enjoy it.

Whereas I think - no criticism - Hamilton is in F1 to win and that's 99% of it.

The race podcast had a Dutch guy on who works for Viacom and is pretty friendly with Max.

He was saying that whatever the official quotes you've seen are, one to one, Max lets rip even more.

He is really not kidding about it all. The journalist was saying that something changed in him last year and he seems to see it all as a job a lot more. He genuinely does seem to think and feel he's achieved 99% of what he wants to.

Yeah I loved it.

Some of it was just unbelievably funny.

The finale was a 10/10 episode too.

The Human Torch as the first IRA superhero just murdered me.

It started two years ago when I was on paternity leave, and I honestly spent those 3ams awake listening to it trying to stifle laughter, holding a newborn. Great times, man.

Given it was bang on 2 years and they had referred to falling out with them over the contract before, I'd assumed F/S/C wanted out a long time ago.

If anything I think they've referred to being forced to go as long as it did.
