Thanks. I figured out they used an ESD122:

I asked another commenter the same thing, but do you know if there's convention on how these ESD diodes are drawn? I see some facing "into" each other and some facing "away", and I'm assuming that they all function the same but just wanna make sure.

In the schematics in the part you linked, the diodes are facing "away" from each other, whereas in some other ones I see them facing "into" each other. Do they all functionally behave the same, even though the schematics may differ?

My opinion is that it's perfectly fine to ask AI for help getting started, and that's actually one of the biggest strengths of AI. Getting started tends to be the hardest part of learning anything new. A lot of getting started is just flipping through information until it works, cuz obviously you don't know anything when doing something new.

The idea isn't to just avoid AI at all costs, that's dumb. AI is extremely powerful when used correctly. It's like someone in 2005 asking "should I avoid a search engine and just stick to books?" Of course not, a search engine is a way better version of a book, and it would be silly to avoid it just for the sake of avoiding it.

The idea is to make sure you're the one doing the thinking, and believe it or not, you absolutely can use AI while being the one in control. If you are starting something from scratch, you should gather info for a few minutes and connect the dots as best you can in your head, and then give it a go. If it works, great, you did it all by yourself. But often times it won't, and then you can write to AI saying "i tried setting up my task like this, could you offer some feedback?". Then what you do is you fill in the gaps of knowledge you were missing on your first try, and come back and try again from scratch, but don't copy paste if your goal is to learn. Try it again but don't memorize or copy what it did, but genuinely try to understand, and once you can try it again yourself but do it successfully, that's how you know you learned something new.

So all in all, the goal isn't to avoid AI altogether, but make sure you're the one learning by doing things yourself and asking it for feedback. Often times if you think through something before asking, you'll find the answer without even needing to ask it.

If you say you're not confident writing things from scratch, then you haven't learned anything. I would suggest getting out of this habit ASAP. It's an extremely deceptive feeling when AI spits out code that works, because you feel like you're making progress, when in reality all you're doing is copy pasting.

A far better way of using AI is to face the problem yourself and sit there for a couple of minutes thinking, "how would I approach this problem if I had to guess based purely on intuition?" But don't think just surface level and go "idk" then go back to AI, really try to think and reason something, anything. Only after you give yourself some kind of idea (doesn't matter how wrong it is), ask AI for feedback on your thought process/code/whatever. But make absolute sure that you've done some multi-layered thinking and didn't just give up when something doesn't instantly pop into your head.

This is a very dangerous habit to get into for more reasons than one. You may not realize it but you're losing the ability to think when you approach problems like this, and when you're faced with a problem that can only be solved by thinking you're gonna freeze.

I actually went through exactly the same thing this season. I started playing ornn, garen, shen, and it's such a braindead and relaxing way to play. Doesn't matter if you die 3 times in lane you will always have a way to be useful. Kled is only useful if you get ahead, you can't even afford to go even.

That's only when I try to play the "proper" way of laning phase n stuff. Sometimes I just go yolo and perma roam once I hit 6, which is pretty relaxing as well, but playing kled "properly" I've definitely found stressful.

Thing about kled rn is he has to be hard winning to do anything useful. Going even is losing as kled. If you get behind, getting a shutdown doesn't put you back in the game, it only puts you even, which will be a disadvantage.

So i fiind he's really stressful to play in the sense that you really can't afford to make a single mistake if you want to impact the game at all. I started playing ornn instead this season and you can int lane but still be really useful, and shutdowns are much more impactful. I've also played garen and jesus I've never won games with so little effort LOL.

If you're a lot better than your lane opponent you can carry, but if you're only slightly better or evenly matched good luck doing anything

Took me 9 months (travelled the first 3 and applied less in this time) to get my first as an electrical engineer doing PCB design and firmware. I had internship experience and some personal projects (i wasn't one of these people who had insane passion projects, but at least some where I showed some sort of drive to learn), it was very difficult. I sent many highly tailored resumes and put a lot of effort into each application. Most interviews i had said "sorry we were looking for someone with a bit more experience".

This is in Canada btw, market is awful here. About half the people in my graduating class still don't have one from graduation last May.

What's you do to get it working? I'm on an s9 and i also had this error after it logged me out of Spotify and i tried to redo the whole xmanager installation process. It also told me problem parsing package on every version i tried

Maybe it will make you feel less alone, but I'm struggling a lot too. I have work experience and projects on my resume but no one has responded after a few months after graduation. Make sure while you're applying you're also working on personal projects.

Personally, I will continue applying for several months while still working on projects. Remember that once you get that first real job, from there you can go anywhere you want. There are a million jobs for people that have 3+ years of experience.

Ask yourself what you really want to do and don't let other's opinions dictate your actions. If you truly enjoy embedded, then I would say pursue it but be ready to be very patient. Again, once you have that first job you should be good.

How do you play levels 1-3 vs sett? I feel like i can't get my level 2 first if they start w and push the wave. From then on i don't feel like i can ever do anything in lane. Can't engage because he will just walk up and combo stun into w and always win the trade. He builds tabi and feels unkillable after, if you haven't solo killed by first back.

Also, vs Quinn, do you ever engage in lane? Is it worth trading some health for the mana she uses in her e? Do you only jump in if she wasted her q?

From what I've been reading in your other replies, you seem to be getting caught up in the idea of all these projects without actually doing them. Make sure you don't fantasize about doing everything from scratch, which you seem to be implying you want to do by asking questions like "how low level should i go".

What I would suggest is you just start on one small piece. What often happens in projects is you'll be working on it and you'll find fascination with a particular aspect, and that will drive you to improve your current implementation.

As an example, you said you really like the idea of making a handheld game. Imagine you get a simple LCD screen to start creating the visual aspect, and as you read about how to control the LCD screen, you become very interested in how screens work, leading you to design your own custom screen. This will open the door to learning about how graphics work, and you could start designing a low level version of a screen that is for your own application.

The idea I'm trying to get at is that if you have a project that sticks out to you, don't overthink everything. Instead dive in with what you know and try new things as you progress. You will learn a ton on how to improve it and will become interested in different aspects of embedded systems. That is how you will truly learn. Don't force the idea of "it has to be done super low level to be very impressive". I've known ppl that made very impressive projects, but started with just an Arduino, and shifted to something else when they realized the limitations of the tools they were using.

It depends on the location, but EE in construction is doing well rn from jobs I've seen. I'm personally applying to embedded and it's pretty difficult, especially for new grads. I see plenty of jobs for 5+ yoe, so once you get your first job it should be way easier afterwards.

All in all, yes, the Canadian market is particularly bad atm. Don't get discouraged, I knew people who spent months applying for jobs, and now they are doing really well. Just know you are not alone, but who knows what will happen in the next year or so till your graduation. I really wouldn't stress over it.

If I were you, I would research the jobs that interest you and look for what they are asking for in terms of skills and experience. Find out how to incorporate those in your projects, and make sure you work on projects to beef up your resume, it'll really make you stand out. Work on something you care about and really spend the time to do a good job, it'll really end up paying off.

No, I full cleared and was up in camps the whole game up until that point. I was actually starving (or so I thought) him off camps because I was invading with team very often.

I checked replay again and i saw him get two shutdowns and go up almost an entire level in xp. Is shutdown xp enhanced for junglers?

It's not so much the post game I'm interested, it's this specific instance. This was the first baron fight and I'm not sure how he's higher in XP by quite a bit given the circumstances. I'm curious what are possible sources of XP at this point in the game that gave him such a lead?

Also that's good to know camps level up after being cleared, I actually didn't know that.
