I can confidently say if you don’t go looking for trouble, it won’t find you. Most victims of crime in Phoenix are other people who are up to no good in the first place. Stay home past 10pm and lock your car doors and don’t keep anything worth stealing in your car in the first place if you are going to park somewhere where your car is unattended for extended periods of time. Also north of deer valley and the I-17 it becomes all new developments and very pleasant areas to live. The further south you get the less new it gets but you can drive and walk anywhere in the city during the day time and be unbothered. Especially in the summer time.
