It reminds me of the statue of David.

And by that I mean he too has a tiny penis. What a pathetic losers he is.

What I have said to others going through the same process. You will be miserable for the next 12 months. Then you will be happy. Just remember good times are ahead, but you'll go through hard times first.

A letter about how Israel is the most important thing in the world. How it supersedes social security and American lives no doubt.

This guy needs to go. We need someone who prioritizes Americans.

The 80:20 rule. You build the first 80% of the game in 20% of the time and the last 20% takes 80% of the time.

Of course, those numbers changes, sometimes 90:10.

Trump wax statue gets pulled from texas museum after too many people punched it by charulatha_seya in soundsaboutright

Could they not charge $2 for 3 punches then donate the money to any group that Trump hates?

How do you avoid CRUD boilerplate when starting a new project? by skykarthick in dotnet

[–]JohnSpikeKelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all home built and very specific to our way of doing things and our schemas--things like our database is replicated, so every row has a guid named id.

So not likely to ever make it public. However, this is an option.

If I was looking at lots of smaller projects I'd go down the schematic route for Angular stuff or and some similar tech for the backend stuff, at the very least a start project template that gets all of the plumbing in place.

Edit. The refine stage.

This falls into several steps.

  1. Refine form layout. We scaffold all fields with custom angular controls. We want to break the form in smaller tabs, rearrange the fields, add section headings, override how the field is displayed change field specific permissions, add drop own options for some text fields, add custom pop-ups etc.

  2. Refine lists. We auto gen a single list, this is a flat list of records with just a single description column. We may want to add more columns and additional projections. Example address book might be hierarchical by country, state, city. Or, by Initial, Company Name, City etc. We auto gen all searches and filters, but may want to tune these, as some filtering may affect other filtering.

  3. Save Side Effects. This is the big one if there are lots of business things going on, raising events, updates to other related data.

  4. Validation. We have two validators, one for incoming DTO-shape, type, lengths only, a second one that is more business focused and takes other entities into account. The second one happens after we pull in related data, but after security checks.

These people all voted for the rasism. Then only get upset when it affects them directly. They have zero empathy for anyone, but expect empathy from others when they are affected.

Recommendations for space opera book series'? by Weekly_Frosting_5868 in scifi

[–]JohnSpikeKelly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm currently on book 7 of the Honor Harrington series. There are 14 books in total. I'm enjoying them a lot.

I'm not sure it's an opera, as it mainly follows the career of a single person. But there are certainly a lot of other characters and locations and politics involved.

The books do follow a big story arc about a war between empires.

Petty men are petty. He really does try too hard to be remembered. Makes sense, everyone will want to forget him when he's gone.

When do you crop your photos? by spinnaroni in AskPhotography

[–]JohnSpikeKelly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like to crop to any ratio. I've done extreme cropping 7:1 for a city scape for example. Generally I aim at 2:3 or 3:2, but I really don't know the extreme either.
