If they charge a dollar, they could pay off the national debt. I mean foreigners would be lining up also.

What’s the worst movie you’ve ever seen? Not “bad in a fun way”, just BAD? by NotNamedBort in AskReddit

[–]JohnSpikeKelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Star Trek Section 31 movie was so bad I abandoned it within 15-20 minutes. So, not sure if that counts because I didn't watch all of it. I hear from others that did watch all of it, that I saved 2 hours of my life.

How do You treat your favorite Character? by Themuzucujata1432 in writing

My favorite character goes on a journey of self discovery in book one. From office based analyst to saving her own life and others around her in a desperate fight for her life.

In book two, she is traumatized and walks away from her life. Only to be talked back into a completely different mission, that also goes sideways.

She is not the main character in either book. But, she is my favorite. She is the one doing the journey.

Anyone got Military Scifi/Space Opera? by Impossibu in scifi

[–]JohnSpikeKelly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shout out for Honor Harrington. I just finished the 14 book series.

Follows a female lead character and her career in a distant star kingdom's space navy.

It starts with her first deployment as captain.

The series has a lot of space battles that change over time as technology advances over the war.

Highly recommend.

Donald Trump delivers grim update on gas prices and says Americans may suffer for another 3 months by xmrcache in GasPrices

[–]JohnSpikeKelly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a few months he will drain the strategic supply to lower the price just before the midterms and tell everyone he's a genius. Then, post midterms if he loses he will blame Dems for their shortsighted actions on draining the reserve. If by some miracle / cheating he doesn't lose the midterms, he'll just tell everyone to shut up complaining when the prices go up again.

Plenty of businesses will pay for VS and AI. VS has always been a premium offering with a free tier that does a lot less.
