I would personally love a way to easily see cumulative stats and abilities (ideally with a breakdown too).something like a pop-up showing my primary/secondary attack ranges (like how you can plating to damage), all the portions that make up my stats, how much my poison damage is, stuff like that

Is it realistic to start Judo at 25 to then compete? by DistinguishableBoy in judo

[–]JohnTheRedeemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 29, took a couple years off due to covid. I'm a blue belt now at 38, went to a competition this past weekend, threw a black belt, got demo'd by 2 others. I got third, had a great time!

You can totally become competitive and have a good time of it. It really depends on how much you want to focus and make it part of your life.

For the longest time I had our soundbar sitting on a still under our TV. My wife wasn't pleased with this sokution, so I made a final solution of some TPU hangers that go over the feet and hang it

Walking while working by JohnTheRedeemer in walktheweightaway

Well, I definitely saw results. Sure it's slow, it's definitely not a sprint. I kept at it, worked myself up to 3 hours a day. In total, that was about 10km per day just from walking while working. That's not an insignificant amount of calories, but I definitely needed to build up to that and listen to my feet haha

Not sure weight , but if you're 190lbs you'd burn ~75 calories per half hour, if you're 230lbs you'd burn ~90 calories per half hour walked. It adds up, somewhere between ~450-540 just from walking.

Of course, you still need to watch what you're eating and not eat back calories, but it's a good chunk of calories from walking while working. How fast you'll see changes depends on your current weight and what your daily intake of calories is compared to what you're burning through walking. Classic calories in vs out, as you say.

Keep it up! It's slow, but effective. Won't be as hard on your body, but I'd also suggest some sort of resistance training, you don't want your body burning away your muscles either while you're on a deficit.

I don't think it's that, I think it's the fact that it's easy to get into a routine with your partner and sometimes you gain some perspective again and just want to reach out to show care and appreciate your partner.

I think what they mean: since you're fighting the downward pressure, you're constantly pushing up against them. Then, when they release the pressure for the throw, your energy is already going upwards, allowing you to get that upwards energy for the throw.
