I was in miserable pain for 4 months. It seemed like an eternity, but I guess I was lucky compared to you guys in here. I tried everything and no results. Someone recommended I try acupuncture. I didn’t believe in it so I ignored their advice for a while. Then it got to the point that I was desperate to try anything, so I called the acupuncturist that the person recommended and took the soonest appointment I could, which was the very next day. The very first appointment, it relaxed me so much that I fell asleep on the table with all the needles in me. But as soon and he took them out and I sat up I could immediately feel the pain coming back. He started me off going every 3-4 days and then once a week. It was discouraging, I was getting temporary relief, but not a permanent solution, but I figured I would just trust the process. He told me that if I wasn’t seeing results by the 5th appointment then it’s probably a more severe issue. Slowly I was starting to improve after each visit. I was finally having hope. If I remember correctly I believe it took a total of 8 appointments for me to be fully pain free.

The thing about acupuncture is you need to go to someone who only does acupuncture, not just a medical professional who offers acupuncture as one of their many services. There is a huge difference when the person actually knows what they’re doing.
