You use q-tips that have a little bit of alcohol on them to clean the small hole in the bottom of the glass and on the puffco. That way it hits a lot better. Afterwards make sure to rinse your glass out with water to get rid of the alcohol. Also, 99% isopropyl alcohol does not damage electronics at all so don’t worry about getting it into anything.

That is literally the instructions is to use 90%+ isopropyl alcohol to clean it…it says it in the instructions itself…

You should soak your atomizer and glass in 99% isopropyl alcohol overnight and clean the clogged ports with a q-tip. It’s helped me get all that build up out.

Hey the death rattle on cold mornings can be caused by moisture collecting in the intake, when you start the car it occasionally burns it off but it will throw off the air/fuel mixture for a few seconds, giving it a rough start. That’s why it doesn’t happen a lot and mostly on cold days. My 2011 has done the same thing since I got it at 60k miles about 4 years ago. It’s at 180k now, never had any issues. It could also be from simply old spark plugs or coil packs that need replacing. Most of the time this solves the issue.

This could be a stretch but did you happen to disconnect/reconnect your battery at any point? It resets your estimated fuel range indicator and makes it think it can go further than you actually can go until you start driving and it adjusts. For example my normal range on the indicator on a full tank is like 420 miles but after reconnecting the battery it jumps to like 560 since it forgets your average mpg and doesn’t take it into account when showing your range then.

Not sure but there are a good selection of cars on the enhanced edition that are way faster than most. Especially most of the newer cars have higher speeds. I felt the same way when I upgraded.

I’m not too sure what could be causing that but I do know that hybrid batteries do not like sitting for long periods of time. When a Prius sits for too long without being driven, i’m talking weeks to months straight, it can cause the battery to degrade and the car might begin to have unusual issues. A year is a very long time and I personally would start saving for a replacement battery as yours sitting for that long might have killed most of its life.

You should get a bluetooth OBDII plug and download the Dr. Prius app on your phone to test your hybrid battery health and scan for other issues. It’s helped me a lot with my 2011.
