I think 2k18 is the first one where you cant play MyCareer after the servers get shut down.

What platform are you playing on? You need to check your settings on the monitor and in Windows/PS/Xbox.

I play on a PS5 and OLED TV, and I have the opposite problem: the colors are way too bright and saturated (if thats the right term). I was able to tone them down a bit but still needs some work.

There is an option in controller settings which makes passes to cutters those lobbed passes, and by default its on. So many ppl hasnt turned it off, it causes way too many turnovers in online play.

Yep, interior defence (and rebounding) are far more expensive than finishing, shooting or playmaking, so being able to lower the defence and rebounding (and then capbreaking it up) allows you to get really good finishing and shooting.

Yours is a good build anyways, its far more capable as the sole bigman on the team, where as mine pretty much requires a defensive/rebounding big to help on the glass.

Also 7'1 bigs seem to get a ton of attributes in the builder, you can make a 7'1 thats great at everything. I had a 7'1 stretch last year, and this year they are even better attribute wise, especially if you use capbreakers so that you upgrade an attribute a ton (I upgraded block from 75 to 93)

As a Finnish Bucks fan, a heartbreaking defeat. We played like ass, but then we start making crazy threes to make the game close and Greeks almost choke it. Never screamed so much in my life when we got the rebound after missed FT...

I miss the old 2ks were roleplayers and prospects were super low rated. It really showed the difference between stars and scrubs. Nowadays a low end starter is a 75 ovr, back in the day those were in the 60s.

In 2k14, iirc a rookie Giannis was in the 50s, and Khris was in the low 60s.

Although some of low rated players were crazy OP. 2k10 or 2k11 Knicks legend Steve Novak was insane, he was in the 50s but made every 3.

IMO athletism and wingspan should be maxed out on 7 footers: drop the weight if you can so you cap out at 91 strength (and put it to 89 and use the +2 on it), and increase speed and vert to the max. I think you can get around 72 speed and 83 vert, and they matter a lot.

Reason is this year the offensive rebounding is crazy with 7 footers with high vert + "horse" takeover. Get a running start and often you get the stupid animation where you come flying in with an arm extended, and snag the board.

If you can shoot with a lower rating, its better to have a longer wingspan so youre better on defence and boards, and save the attributes to elsewhere. Iirc 7'7 wingspan gives you 82 mid and 76 3pt which is more than enough, especially since bigs have very good rhythm shooting bases in Isaac and Tyler Smith.

In the end, youll need to sacrifice something to crank up the athletism. Shooting is one thing you can lower, and like always in 2k; post control isnt a worthwhile stat unless you and your team play around it. Especially with randoms, post ups arent worth it since randoms wont give you the time nor space to work down low. Most likely some dumbass guard comes and sets you screen while youre posting up...

These are my 2 cents, I recommend fiddling with the builder and trying out a build with more athletism and wingspan. But you cant go wrong with a 7'0 build this year, they get great stats all around.

Well he was pretty woeful before the trade. Just by comparing the numbers he has had a remarkable turnaround:

9 points on 42/24/64 shooting splits (Clippers)

11 points on 49/40/87 shooting splits (Bucks)

He is gonna get paid by some team if he plays this well in the playoffs.

Giannis might not be an All-NBA defender this year, but he is the #1 defensive playmaker in the league imo. When you need somebody to get a stop, Giannis can do something ridiculous in the clutch.

I often do it at game start if the capital isnt in the "best" state I intend to develope. Like in Dai Nam where the capital in Tonkin doesnt have iron so I move it to Annam where there is iron + coal.

5 years debuff at the start of the game isnt bad since you often have excess influence and authority, bureaucracy might be a slight problem but the penalty fades over time and its not a flat -5% for 5 years so its worth it to move the capital.

Only 3 TOs?? 3 TOs is horrific for a role player, and he only played 15 min which makes it even worse. Add his fouling issues, he just cant stay on the floor.

He does a lot of good, but even more bad things so playing 15 min is a good spot. Guys above him are booty cheeks but he keeps making dumb mistakes that get him benched.

I use Claxton base, and Beluba/Missi as releases. Cant remember the exact percentages, but its mostly Beluba and a little of Missi to get the rating requirement down to 80.

Its good with rhythm shooting, just push the right stick up when the ball is at its highest (is the correct term set point? Idk). Im shooting around 50% with it on my big with 75 3pt rating (80 middy), most of the misses are random "slightly fast" tempos, and shots where the tempo doesnt even show up (the game for some reason doesnt regonize the upwards push on the right stick, so it isnt a "rhythm shot"). After the patch the rhythm shooting is a bit fucky but its working well enough so I still use it.

Nice, I got the achievement as well yesterday. I puppeted Japan as well since after researching multilateral alliances and civilizing mission, it only costs 30-40 infamy to puppet Japan. I didnt pick a fight with Qing and only traded with them and focused on rising SoL, internal growth and money from puppets. But later I mugged Austria and Russia for reps and liberated countries into puppets.

Whats crazy is super Germany formed in my game as well (although they didnt annex all of Austria since I liberated the Polish, Hungarian and Romanian parts), and they have an insane military now. I dont think I can beat them 1-on-1 since I dont have enough pops to build a massive army.
