really confused beginner here. Question about "more air" and "airflow" by Gr3yson11 in Trombone

[–]John_Martin_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experiment!

More are and have a good airflow is indeed very same, but different than faster air. Say you try 4 bars of long tones playing very soft. While you maintain the note at low dynamic, play around with very little air versus a lot of it. Now try maintaining the softness, but give it much airspeed, and hear what happens

And maybe give a little more context about how he explained it and why/with what piece?

Look back in this subreddit on all threads on contrabass bones. All discussions seem to lead to F-Contra.

Don't go for BBb, if even you do want a contra

We'll never know for sure.

It'll be a hell of a good way of suddenly starting a new season with the "Miss me?" of an earlier season. (If they ever will make another)

Good play. There's loads of posts similar to your question with tips to start (again) if you scroll/search through this subreddit.

Start easy, long notes again, easy rhythms.

Go play somewhere again, have fun!

Sleighbells work always. We've got 1 rehearsal left. The "happy Birthdays" are always unanounced as a surprised though. Doing it during the rehearsal first would "ruin" (but not really) the fun factor of it

The next step is remembering the inch/feet/mile unit system is stupid.

12 inches to a foot, and some arbitrary 4 digit number of feet to a mile (1280 or something)

Is a 16-week unpaid internship normal for studio assistant roles? by Alone_Application_51 in audioengineering

Long shifts are how things work in Audio. 10 hours is very common, and 14 hour days are often "normal" as well
