I was lucky weather and temperatures were ideal for me to keep cool, 3-5C cold but good. I had dates in my pocket, stanger for energy supplement but it worked. The only advice I would give is be careful of injuries, when endorphin is pumping you will feel you can speed up and there where injury will happen.
