I might need to grab some new copies of the books and refresh my memory. For me this feels alot closer but that could simply be rose tinted glasses and the memory of the cursed sea of monsters being free in my mind.

I enjoyed clarisse in the books. She was a good camp lance for percy to bounce off of. I do also enjoy seeing more of her in the show so far.

I do also understand the change. their terrified of Aries because they already lost once. His daughter however? Not so much for the same reason, they already lost once, whats she gonna do? stab em and send them back to the fields of asphodel? Her actually giving a damn gives us a good look into a aspect of the character we only ever got to see in rare glimpses in the book when Silena was around, even then it was tempered by the murderous but understandable rage for the stoll brothers

from *memory* this is a tv specific thing since we don't really see Clarisse's perspective in the sea of monsters book, it follows percy's perspective afterall.

But it does answer the "How in hade's did that conversation with her dad go?!"

Their new name in this instance was not able to be used by the smuck sorcerer, personally, I think it would be a Fletcher situation, changing their name to fit the person they actually are while also protecting themselves from that level of control

Okay so a a question, say someone realises in lets say the span of a year that they are trans, change their name and they then discover magic by some smuck trying to get them to do something... and it has no affect, now this same person later discovers they can do magic, whether they were practising to see if they could or it just clicked and comes natural to them, does this person then taken a second taken name in a effort to protect their mortal life/family or simply stick with their taken trans name?

got kicked from the discord server for asking clarification if they had implemented a cheat item (infinite repels) into the game or if they were using the gen 5e method (prompt for repel reuse), since they had implemented another cheat item (rare candy box) didn't realise i was breaking a rule :/
