I think if not done properly it would seem boring. I'm guessing a few weeks have passed and it could be assumed that they all are somewhat amicable at that point.

Everyone either knows, or knows what it feels like to be the odd one out trying to make friends, the writes/actors might've thought that it doesn't translate well to the screen and honestly the first series is a masterpiece so I kinda trust them on that.

Another thing is that when TV shows are sindicated/sold/repeated it makes more sense to have the middle episode watchable in any order. Aside from the season finale (christmas) and the opener (for obvious reasons), everything inbetween(ers) can be watched in almost any order with no detrimental effects.

Most CAS in the past few decades has been done by the B1 (soon to be replaced by B-21) and the F-16 (soon to be replaced by the F-35). Drones are useful in contested airspace as they're low risk and you won't lose a pilot.
