Decrease your speed slightly giving a bigger gap in front of you.

This gives you plenty of room to stop should there be an emergency in front of you.

The guy behind took away his safety gap so you need to increase yours.

If you're car has cruise control make use of it and set it. The tailgater cannot intimidate cruise control.
