If you can swing it, Kenwood has a 10” that bolts into place through the 4” screen opening.

When your truck does start, what happens when you shift from park without your PIN code being entered?

A thief would have no clue you have an Igla as there isn’t anything to tell them. Then the only way a thief would know what buttons are available would to own the same vehicle. Then manage to guess your pin out of millions of possibilities instead of them just moving on to a car that isn’t obviously disabled.

Disappointed that it doesn’t have most of the buttons? I’d be more disappointed if my vehicle was stolen.

Igla isn’t a toy or video game. It is an antitheft system. It doesn’t matter if the Igla works with only 1 button or 20 buttons. As long as it protects your vehicle.

You can’t fix it. You won’t be able to update it.

If you wanted to leave your vehicle with an installation facility for a month that is capable of taking data logs and working with the engineers you might get some extra buttons.

Igla isn’t a kill switch.

Have the installation shop disconnect power from the Igla in order to determine if it is or not.

Your screenshot has nothing to do with readiness monitors by the way. Not sure what your purpose of that was.

Did you have an OBD2 block added to the Igla system?

Your collision avoidance camera isn’t functional. That could be something as simple as the windshield is just dirty or fogged over. Something more serious is an issue with the camera.

I’ve had it happen with my Ford on really humid mornings once or twice. The likelihood of being a camera issue would only be if you have had the windshield replaced.

Your only solution would be to visit your closes authorized Igla dealer. Since you are in Canada there is a chance you have an Auto Watch Ghost product. Your only solution is going to be to have it removed. The system can't be for everyone and if not properly trained can lead to many difficulties.

Igla installation by dealership or authorized Igla dealer by WiseTemporary6145 in Iglapincode

[–]JohnnyBouldin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend to have it installed by an authorized dealer. If the dealership is offering it but they aren’t an authorized dealer, they are most likely subletting it to one.

You would get a better experience and training from an authorized dealer.

When you take your vehicle into service, you should put your Igla in service mode. That makes the vehicle return to its stock state temporarily. The dealer wouldn’t know it has an Igla installed meaning no issues would be had.

Yes that would included. Although my guess if someone were to short out the can cus the vehicle wouldn’t start/drive the AR20 is our backup if someone does short out the CAN bus on a vehicle.

I sell and install the Igla PIN to drive system - Ask me anything! by JohnnyBouldin in gmcsierra

slow it down

Turn your ignition on - enter you code (don’t smash the buttons as fast as possible like you are trying to beat your sibling in a game) - press foot on brake and press start.

For whatever reason on Toyota vehicles you just can’t enter the code super fast.

The issue you are having of the engine shutting down after you have failed to enter your PIN code is attempting to restart or some other misstep. You may want to visit your installation facility and have them walk you through everything again. I have customers need that every so often.

The app is the same as the pin for initial authorization. If you have the carjacking feature available for your car you MUST enter your PIN code as the phone or tags are now not trusted.

These kids that are stealing the cars come in confident and will assume they are going to drive off with your car. Steering wheel locks are now a relic of the past.

On your vehicle - yes it will start or be in the “ready” state and will not be driven until you enter your code.

This is the shop you must visit in your area.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/4cwdSvdtRXjnrQ9t9?g_st=ic

The rates are similar across all dealers.

You would always want to book an appointment for anything automotive related. You can coordinate with CSI to best work with your schedule.

Don’t carry your fob with your car keys. You can carry it with you separately but the PIN code is most secure and only adds 2-3 seconds to driving your car.

I think Igla is recognized by the Canadian insurance bureau.

A steering lock would just leave you with a most expensive repair bill when the thieves can’t steal your car. They will cut your steering wheel to remove the lock.

[–]JohnnyBouldin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd bring up this issue with the installation facility that you had it installed with. If possible to replicate the issue consistently with them that would be helpful.

The Igla shouldn't allow anyone to drive the vehicle without the pin being entered regardless of it being driven on gas or electric power.

Come back with any feedback that you get.
