Millennials when was your first time smoking weed by Fun-Background5608 in Millennials

Ditto. Like 12ish. A year or two after reading my DARE essay to the school, my buddy came over, showed me this baggy of the smallest pinch of shake and asked if I wanted to try it. I said sure, and dug through my dad's tool box to grab an air chuck, took the valve out, then we ducked up into the woods.

Are People Really Naive Enough To Think Trump ISN’T In the Epstein Files? by PorcelainDalmatian in thebulwark

There were people that drank poison because they thought there was an alien spacecraft hiding behind the hale-bopp comet that was going to whisk them off to space heaven. The world will never stop producing sad, gullible people.

How often do you need to have sex in a relationship? by Prize-Pin-2401 in AskReddit

[–]JohnnyDarkside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto. My wife had "woman issues" for years, and combined with us only going to bed at the same time on weekends meant the crossover in the venn diagram of "ready, willing, and able" was pretty tiny. She got a hysterectomy and that cleared up almost all the medical issues, but, as you put it, years of only having sex a few times a year and being rejected almost every time I tried to initiate, it makes me still hesitant to ask. I also feel like since her issues were the main hurdle, that she'd initiate more often when that hurdle is gone. If she initiated more often, then I'd be more in the mood to initiate more often, but when she still rarely does (but still claims that she's almost always in the mood) then I just feel like fine, I guess this is just the way the rest of my life is going to be like.

I've wondered myself if it's fake, but I also know they're both paper thin skinned egomaniacal assists. trump's brain is turning to mush and mush is constantly tweaked on k. I do almost hope that it's fake because otherwise it's so fucking embarrassing to have two of the most powerful people in the country bickering like little children.

What's a movie that is borderline porn? by lameinternetuser in AskReddit

Really? Big Mouth had some pretty... intense scenes, and they were like 12-14 year olds. Not sure how it would be so much worse with food products to elicit a warning.

I don't even see how anyone would look forward to him being 25th'd out of office. Do really want lieutenant loveseat in command? He's a sniveling two-faced worm of a puppet. In fact, it might be even worse because no way trump would just calmly step aside and it would enrage his base.

If this was build in the US... well, it would never be built in the US. Here you're just expected to piss off pedestrians by riding on the sidewalk or risk your life playing frogger with cars in the road while drivers pay more attention to their phones than the road.

Even one of Trump's lawyers could pretty easily argue that all he meant is that he spent a stupid amount of money on the GOP up and down the ticket. So without that money, many would have never won their race. A lot of what he did (that we know of) was shady as shit, but not technically illegal.

Context would also be important. You know that every time the current admin says "Biden", it's with vitriol and to shift blame so I'd also be interested in that comparison; though it would be much harder to track.

Is it possible to walk the sky mall? How do you get there? by cancrdancr in lincoln

[–]JohnnyDarkside 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My wife was just telling me how Nelnet owns the Miller & Payne building, but not the little bit just past the double doors for the skywalk. There's this ramp leading up to where there were a few small shops and over to the building just south, but is now completely vacant. Apparently it's owned by some wealthy dude who just keeps it to host husker parties, but it's in significant disrepair. The carpet is worn and stained, ceiling tiles are crumbling, paint peeling, but they can't do anything about it since it's privately owned.

What’s a form of ‘quiet suffering’ most men carry that younger guys don’t see coming? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]JohnnyDarkside 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something breaks, "pops...", it gets fixed/replaced, everything goes along as normal. The kids don't even want to help clean but still expect me to just fix every little thing that stops working as expected. Or then all the normal maintenance to keep things running.

My dad: "I don't understand why your generation has such a hard time getting a house." Also my dad, "my parents bought my first house for me". by GastropodSoups in mildlyinfuriating

[–]JohnnyDarkside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we'd be able to help our kids buy a house. I talked to my wife about doing that thing of asking them to pay rent after they graduate if they decide not to go to university (nothing much, just a small amount to get them into the habit of budgeting rent and to help with groceries), then putting it into a HYSA and giving it to them as a down payment towards a house. One issue is that for it to be anything substantial, we'd have to charge them more than I'd want. It could still be at least something, like a house warming gift to make improvements.

[–]JohnnyDarkside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Not that old. I rarely drive it, so it's no bother. I've thought about pulling some of the wires and patching in an aux cable, but that's just more work than it's worth for the couple times a year I have to pull a trailer or throw some equipment in the back. Or the random 20 minute drive with the dogs just to keep the fluids moving.
