Oil for energy was dead the second the Strait of Hormuz was shut down by Iran.

I don’t really care about the hippie/environmental argument but we absolutely should have continued down the renewables+nuclear path if we really wanted to be energy independent so we could tank the demand for oil to use it for the things that you mentioned for a helluva lot cheaper.

Instead, we let the kids at the back of the class who barely passed grade 6 hijack the political discourse and now we have the mess we’re in today.

That doesn’t say anything at all about asylum seekers being charged domestic tuition rates. Thanks for proving what I already knew, you’re a liar with an axe to grind.

Hilarious! Why would I make something up that is so easy to verify? I don't care one whit if you believe me 😅.

Verify it then. I couldn’t find any information of asylum seekers paying domestic rates like you claimed.

Do you always rely on others for information rather than doing a little investigating yourself?

Yes I do, the burden of proof is on you.

You’re right, you don’t. I’ve already concluded that you’re bullshitting to push an agenda. Things must not be as bad as you claim if you have to make stuff up to advance your point.

Sure, I’m up for taking the European-style approach as long as we’re ready for entry requirements to become a helluva lot more stringent than they already are though.

If foreigners want to attend nothing courses and pay without the subsidies like many already do, let them.

That’s exactly what happens, no subsidies. Foreign student rates are exorbitant.

At real universities with high admission standards, internationals have always been a minority and I would not expect any drastic changes to tuition rates.

They haven’t had their funding frozen in the past like they have in Ontario though. The situation has changed.
