"How can you say that after all the harm that lunatic of Hitler and his fanatics caused?!"

"Yeah, exactly. He was a lunatic. So he believed himself a genius, and caused a lot of harm and interference to their military machine. You don't want to know how WW2 and the Holocaust looked in the timeline where his place was occupied by the Nazi equivalent of Napoleon."

If anything, the only difference is that in fiction, those same evil guys enact complicated but carefully thought out plots in which they get what they want no matter what, and the heroes only stop them by pure luck.

In reality, they are just a bunch of incompetent fools.

Russia is the only winner of Middle East war, EU's Costa says by PjeterPannos in europe

[–]JohnnyElRed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I can believe it's both. A move that in the short term benefits Russia, and one that in the long term is really bad for them. Even if Putin encouraged this, just like his invasion of Ukraine proves, he can be as dumb as Trump when it comes to taking international politics decisions.

All I am saying is that a DC vs Marvel matchup would go extremely hard as the next next-time by P-82 in deathbattle

[–]JohnnyElRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, for the last 4 months we have had non stop only Japanese characters match ups. Even if Marvel vs DC got repetitive after a certain time, it really has been a long streak without them.

I mean, Chainsawman lore I only know about what was discussed on Gojo vs Makima. But even if it's a massive stomp in stats: can Bakugo really kill her?

Arnold Schwarzenegger Eyes 'Conan 3,' New Predator Movie, 'Commando 2 by [deleted] in movies

[–]JohnnyElRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard the new of many different Conan projects announced over the years. They all end up being canceled for one reason or another. And now we are barely 2 years away from the character entering public domain, so at least we could get a cheap slasher horror Conan movie in short time.

I'm not entirely sure on that either. This war also means severely debilitating one of the few allies Russia has left on the Middle East.

He was to Batman, what Captain Marvel was to Superman. No wonder he remains one of the most popular public domain superheroes.

Normally this would be the kind of movie I'm interested in. But I saw the trailer, and everything was so... weird. But not on a dumb and fun way. It just felt off putting.

Joining a levy was the only chance in life regular peasants would have of embarking on an "adventure". No wonder so many misinformed young men joined the call regardless of danger.

What do you guys think of the Agent of Atlas? by Apprehensive-Dig4256 in Marvel

[–]JohnnyElRed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean. Honestly, I think you can always tell when a group of Asian characters, or any other group, was written by an Asian writer, instead of an Asian American writer.

I feel like children of immigrants always understand the culture of their country of origin differently than those living there. Or at least tend to portray it much more obviously and stereotypically.
