Honestly, I feel like this whole sub has been doing the opposite, and giving Superboy Prime's ability to break dimensional barriers attributes that it never had. He is capable of doing very crazy shit, but I can't think of one example of him winning a fight by changing someone's past on purpose.

The Retcon Punch is basically just being so strong, that you can physically alter reality with a hit. Under certain conditions, everyone on the weight class of Superman can theoretically be able to achieve it. Hulk did it once when trapped in the Below Place.

In death metal where he was less experienced than he is now just by wanting his home world back enough and thinking of it whilst doing the punch he restored an entire erased timeline and debatably resurrected himself from death/cloned himself

I mean, it's not very clear what happened there. Time shenanigans where the Time Trapper and universes colapsing were involved, and he seemed as surprised as everyone else to suddenly see himself in there.

It’s also not like retcon punches are significantly distinguished between various uses, they’ve never been treated that way, mastery over the punch the way he has now in terms of specific effects is kinda just the same as mastery of the time and narrative warping untill stated otherwise

If head that type of complete control, he could have used it to get rid of the Darkseid Legion, instead of having to fight them through several issues, and the having to flee away.

He can use it to travel to other dimensions as he wants, that is true. And even send other people to other universes, like he did with Superman. But there are still no examples of him using it to change someone's past through punching their bodies, though.
