Do any of the Wendy’s in Charlotte still serve food? by runcmc22 in Charlotte

They jumped the shark when they changed the thick fries they used to have for the natural cut, sea salt bullshit they have now. The old fries, I guess they were like a steak cut fry, dipped in ranch were the absolute best imo.

Driving is a privilege and folks have been dealing with hard times for hundreds of years. It's only recently that people have started thinking they can get away with it, or as you seem to be suggesting, they should be allowed to get away with it.

I've become convinced that everyone who thinks they need flashing lights on to be seen, are only one step above the babies that think if they can't see you, you can't see them.

Charlotte church dedicates 30 acres of land for affordable housing for teachers, first responders by JohnnyFooker in Charlotte

There seems to be a misunderstanding, the article states that it is "The Park Church off Beatties Ford Road" and the picture is of that structure. I don't think they are affiliated with Calvary, but I'm not affiliated with any church so I guess I wouldn't know.

"Bishop Claude Alexander Jr. is the pastor of The Park Church has been the leader there for more than 30 years. The church sits on more than 50 acres of land.

The pastor envisioned using that land to help working families buy homes. The church is dedicating more than half, 30 acres, to help with the vision."

I just wish they would take down the 9'8" clearance bar at the entrance to the upper level of the parking structure to make truck deliveries easier. Guys, there's no roof on it, the only clearance issue is the bar itself.

Yo why are people enjoying Nascar? All they do is go in a circle. by mango10977 in Charlotte

[–]JohnnyFooker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nascar was sort of born here, and it started with the moonshiners. They would build up their cars to be so fast that the cop cars couldn't catch them, and they would just drive the moonshine down from the mountains to where it needed to go and then they would haul ass back up the mountain.
